Oh how I wish I was one of the lucky ones. For me, no, this was not the case. So I have to be careful of my choices on a day to day basis. -
6 mos Post Op & Beyond!
takroom replied to takroom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My own personal goal, I would like to be 115 but 121 is awesome (don't get me wrong). I'm shaped like an apple, small framed, and have an apron....I know, most of us do. A lot of it is my own perception of what I see in the mirror (something I'm working on). To me, I feel like I'm still carrying that extra 5-10 pounds in my gut. I work out 3-5 times a week but I'm trying for the first time, in a long time, to be happy with me. -
Not a nurse but I've been in pantoprazole for refux & heartburn since surgery. Are you taking a proton pump inhibitor for reflux? It really does help with reducing acid in the stomach.

Why am I a Slowwwwwwwww loser?
takroom replied to newgrandmother's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Newgrandmother- hello darling, you know you're not alone. I too am a slow loser or am I? Guess you can look at either way. I would have never lost 56 lbs in 6 mos on my own. Or, if I did, I'd surely be slowly packing back on the pounds by now. You will get there....as they say: slow & steady wins the race -
Damn, you're looking mighty fine!!!! Keep up the awesome work

Ok, Relax & Breath! Think of the last time you used it. Could it be in an old purse? Piece of luggage? Where would you normally keep it? Did you travel with someone? I have faith, you will find it.

Yes, I stay away from beer (causes too much gas) & I will have wine or Malibu & Diet Coke.

Post Op September Sleevers, Roll Call
takroom replied to newgrandmother's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
So, I am, like most, in yet another stall. I did Lil Diva's Bootcamp to kick start my weight loss (which worked) but as soon as I started reintroducing foods again...BAM, the weight I had lost came back on. I know I need to be patient but I am so close to hitting my goal.....Very Frustrated Today -
1 Year and 8 months out - No longer losing.

Well, to jump start your weight loss look up Lil Diva's Bootcamp on the forum. It really works, lost a pound a day. -
