I'm 2 weeks post surgery and down 12lbs., having sleeping problems, cannot sleep for long periods wake up about twice per night :-( keep up the good work !!

JUST WANTED TO KNOW HOW LONG DID IT TAKE FOR YOU ALL TO HAVE WINE OR LIQUOR AFTER SURGERY ? I'M ALMOST 2 WEEKS POST SURGERY AND MY BIRTHDAY IS NEXT MONTH ON THE 25TH SO WONDERING IF I SHOULD HAVE A GLASS OF WINE THEN. PLEASE GET BACK TO ME WITH THE FEEDBACK GUYS !! THANK YOU :-)

good luck in your new journey, i had same horrible night of the surgery 9/19/12, but now I'm almost 2 weeks post surgery and feeling great, in the mornings i have all the energy but starting at 8pm im exhausted and need to sleep, the only bad thing about sleeping early is that i wake up too early 5am sometimes earlier and can't sleep afterwards :-/ again stay focused and good luck on your new you !!!

So had my sleeve done on 9/19/12 and the first day post surgery getting out of the recovery room was very hard, lots of pain on my neck, my mouth was very dry and my throat was hurting from the tube that was inserted, plus i think since i had a hiatal hernia and they did some work via my esophocus it felt worse :-( Overall though i have to say it was all worth it, now just have to get used the sipping and drinking lots of water all the day to avoid getting dehydrated as per Dr. Nish. 8/31/12 i weight in at 239 at Dr. Nish's office when i went in for surgery on Wed. 9/19/12 i was 228 lbs. this morning 9/23/12 i was 223 lbs. I'm very excited to go have gone through this, wished it would have been approved 10 yrs. prior. Very thankful with God family and friends, that everything went well.

So my surgery is scheduled for 9/19/12 and got a call my my PCD today that the blood work i re-took over the weekend still showed that the L.E. were high and my she (PCD) cannot clear me, she was off today, so im hoping that tomorrow i can get her to sign the consent, this liquid diet has me going crazy already, I'm so moody and i get headaches all the time :-( has anyone gone through this before, please leave me some comments, i would like to hear from everyone PLEASE !!

Congratulations !!! Glad your doing well and hope for a speedy recovery, I'm going next Wednesday and can't wait ALREADY FOR THAT DAY !! Your posting is helping me to not worry about the recovery, i also have a Hiatal Hernia and it wil be fix during surgery, the only thing I'm worried about is that my liquid diet has not been a great one and i only lost albs. so far :-(

I'm planning of taking Wednesday - Wednesday but my sister said since there are only 2 days left of the week maybe i can take the extra 2 days, i will play it by ear and see if i feel up for it other wise i will take and extra 2 days off :-)

just logged in to my insurance and i noticed that the surgery has been APPROVED, Im soooooo excited for my new journey which begins on 9/19/12 !!

I have Emblem HIP, just got the ltr. today indicating i was approved YEYYY !!! U have to see your surgeon for 6 months in a row to weight in and go through all the testing and then of course they submit it to your insurance carrier for approval. I'm 5'2 and my last weight before the liquid diet was 239, which is a bit too high when it comes to my BMI at 45 :-(. looking forward to having the surgery since ive been struggling with my weight since the age of 14-15. Going for it on 9/19/12, wish it was that date already bc this liquid diet is HORRIBLE :-( don't worry about the surgery just stay positive and think that it will all be worth it !!

that's awesome, keep up with the positive thoughts, i go on 9/19/12, can't wait ! On the liquid diet now and it's hard not to eat specially when I'm at work and they order all kinds of good food, i wish it was 9/19/12 already !!

Congrats ! you can do it, Ive been doing it since tuesday and it was hard the first 2 days then its gotten better, can't wait for my surgery day on 9/19/12, good luck with yours !!
