    Super Saturday Weigh In

    210 yesterday that's 8 pounds that I lost this week. I'll be in the onederland very soon
  2. For all the new sleevers hang on and have hope. The first three weeks for me were the worst . It hurt to drink and to eat . I was depressed hit a stall last week that I still haven't came off of but it's ok. This weekend has been the best I've felt since surgery . I was able to have a selection of foods although in small amounts I had watermelon and seafood salad with crackers, I even ate a salad On a down note I am completly lactose intolerant but it's ok. O yeah I had one egg with provolone cheese and salsa and it was yummy . I hope this encourages someone who having a difficult time transitioning By the way I've lost 39 pounds in a month down 3 dress sizes ))

    Guzzling?

    I only 5 weeks out and I can drink really easy . I can't guzzle a whole bottle of water at a time but I can drink a whole bottle in about 25 minutes . My nut says that's ok .

    Scared And Confused

    Start eating and drinking on a schedule. Sound like you're eating or drinking to fast. Your bites should be small and chew until its like mush before swallowing . Calm down and think through all this get out the handouts that you're surgeon and NUT gave you . Plan all your meals measure your foods and eat slow . It will get better take it slow!
  5. I'm five weeks out and today was our first cook out since my surgery. It was very different from what we use to do but it was a hit with my family . I like to share the new things I try as I know we can all get caught in a routine of the same thing. So I found these great Italian tofu sausage 30 g of protein in one I put them in the grill and it was really good. (Warning: they are made with firm tofu so chew chew chew) I also put a Jenny O turkey loin on the grill and it was very tender and moist went down very easy I cooked cabbage ( instead of sauerkraut ) but there wasn't much room for that. The plus is my family enjoyed it so were are all getting healthy (healthier) together I also found frozen Greek yogurt by Healthy Choice 100 calories 18 carbs 4 g protein and 12 sugars , they taste great!

    What Is Wrong?

    Sleeved on 8/14 on been in a stall for 3 weeks. I stopped getting on the scale everyday. I'm keeping up with my exercise routines and my diet . I noticed when weighing everyday if I drank 60 ounces of water the next day I would weigh less. I'm trying to focus on non scale victories (NSV) like being able to keep up with a work out routine. Or playing with my children for an hour at the park. Fitting into a top that I couldn't wear prior to surgery to keep me from feeling discouraged. Stalls are really hard and can make you feel like a failure if you choose to give it all your attention!!!

    Help I Think I'm Dumping

    Strawberry shortcake is my weakness. Ate a bite of my co-workers. Got hot and sweaty 5 minutes after eating it , I thought I was going to faint . No more sugar !!!!!

    Imjustmee you're right . I never pour dressing on my salad I dip my fork in the amount of dressing I need. Cuts out extra calories

  11. The swelling is suppose to go away at four weeks and them you will be able to tolerate more than just a few spoon fills of things. I can't eat but half of a turkey sandwich or half of a half sized salad. Prior to surgery I could eat 4-5 claws of snow crab legs now 1 claw and I'm done.

    Sleeping On Stomach Or Side

    Im five weeks out and started sleeping on my stomache about a week and a half ago.

    I had it prior to my surgery and couldn't do it. I put it on tonight and did the whole 45 minutes , my husband was my cheerleader (lol) and that really motivated me and the 30 lbs I've lost helped too I guess.

    Don't Eat Fish...help!

    I don't know if you've tried Boca brand patties. They are vegatarian alternative for meat, it's basically soy and packed with protein. It doesn't taste bad either not delicious but definatly not bad. Tofu is another thing that's packed with protein. They have tofu sausage that are great in the grill. They are all soft and I was able to tolerate them through the soft stages. Cheese is also soft and has some protein in it. I wish you luck and encourage you to just try the seafood and see if you like it.

    Nearly Two Month Stall!

    Pretty BEFORE and after. I'm in a stall right now , it's been about 2 weeks . I went to my NUT today and was educated on non scale victories. Trying to learn that the scale is apart of my success, my total success does not rest totally in it. I wish you the best .

    I'm five weeks out and compared to what I've read my surgeon is very easy . I have no limitations and I eat small salads everyday with ease. I chew chew chew !
  19. I'm 4 weeks out and was cleared by my doc to eat normal foods again . I started out at 247 and im now at 218.5. I'm really pleased with the weight I have lost but 3 days ago I was 215 . I haven't lost a pound in a week in a half in fact I've gained 3 pounds. I'm not eating unhealthy and I'm doing the 3 meals with 3 healthy snacks. I'm getting at least 60-75 grams of protein and about 62 ounces of gaterade / water everyday . I will be honest I'm not taking the vitamins like I should in fact the vitamins are my weakness . I hate them they make me nauseated. I do exercise 3 days a week . I'm so discouraged and unsure about what's happening to my body
  20. Good point with the Gaterade. I'm drinking the G2 with 7 g of sugar and 7 g of carbs. I did download my fitness app and have been using it faithfully consuming about 600 calories QD which I expect to go up by a tad this week as I phase in normal food . Im a full time nurse with 3 children and a husband and I can not commit to anymore exercise than I already am. I think I trip my NUT is due becuase im just confused !!

  23. I screaming....Hang in there. My body is sore becuase I ran a mile today it took 35 minutes and some spots of power walking but I did it. I told my husband I'm in a pivotal place in the WLS the first stall. I said the first 39 was easy but the next 39 are one me and I'm going to get it We should all be proud of the steps we are taking to be healthier people

    Cant Stop Crying! Help!

    I did the same thing . You're going through alot mentally and physically. I hope you have a good support system and remember its ok to cry . You've gone through alot this past week it's worth crying over. Just know better and brighter days are right around the corner. Hang in there champ soon you'll be a skinny minnie and it will all be worth it!
