someone just posted about this.. they said that the pill can sometimes not work, because it doesn't digest the same way.. in regards to controlling if you get pregnant or not.. but that it works to regulate your periods.. people suggested getting the kind that are implanted into your arm or shots, too.. personally, i wouldn't get an IUD, but you have that option available to you as well... of course, there's always condoms.. far less risky to your health to use than birth control (as birth control can cause blood clots and death amongst other bad things that can kill you).. and if you're married & don't want kids, you may look into your husband getting a vasectomy, because it's an out-patient procedure, less invasive surgery than having your tubes tied & can be reversed (well, high chance of it being reverse) should you choose to have kids in the future.

ahh i see! LOL i dunno anything about birth control, so thanks for setting it straight! my cousin had one of those & it worked well for her! that's awesome! congrats to him, too! that's so awesome that you're both getting healthy together! very sweet, too!

oooh... i couldn't do that, either.. IUD can puncture the uterus walls.. i like my uterus & that is what makes orgasms feel the way they do.. so i'm not risking it getting punctured, i don't care who i'm with. YIKES! i also have a guy friend who was telling me about one of his past GF's.. they were having sex & the IUD she had ended up poking him right in his pee hole... needless to say, that kinda ended the mood for 'em & was very unpleasant for him.... lol

what issues are there with the pill & wls?.. i'm not on birth control, am abstinent & haven't even dated for 7 years.. so.. not like it really matters (to me), but i'm still curious. lol i'd be pretty happy that birth control didn't work, though.. cause look at all those commercials where birth control killed and caused so many problems for women.. if i didn't want kids & was married, i'd make my husband go get a vasectomy, because it's the simpler of the surgeries (between having tubes tied & a vasectomy), they recover quicker & it's out-patient surgery... also because should you decide you want kids later down the road, it's more likely to be reversable... so.. yep.. sorry to the future hubby (should i be so lucky to find someone that can tolerate me) lol

have dad spend some quality time with 'em & take 'em out to the park & wear their little butts out until it's time for bed. lol spend all day at the park & let 'em run around & tire themselves out.. bring 'em home for nap time. when they wake up.. take 'em out again & repeat. i'm so happy i don't have kids.. i'd probably be in the same boat as you. lol but yeah.. were i in your shoes, i would just send the dad away with the kids until i was feeling better & knowing me, i'd forbid 'em from talking to me until then.

yep.. you can try those lamb skin condoms.. they don't prevent diseases, are supposed to be as thin as you can get them & more comfortable for the guy.. they do prevent pregnancy... but not std's they're very expensive, but a lot of guys say that they're worth it, cause it's so thin.

lol! xD well they are made out of beans! they have various kinds of shirataki noodles, though... clear ones & tofu ones. there's also kelp noodles.. all are low to no carbs & calories. the tofu ones are just highest in Protein. um.. i like things that smell bad to other people.. like kimchi, for example. my parents think it smells like poo, directly from the source.. but to me it smells like garlic, onions & cabbage & peppers & i love it. lol.. different strokes for different folks, i guess.. but it was nice of you to warn her

maybe try something new?.. like a new style of food... i'm used to eating american food, italian and mexican.. it's boring and i hate them all... but put me in front of some korean food or indian food & i want to bathe in it, i like it so much. cause it's different! i dunno what you can eat being 6 weeks post op, but if you can eat regular food, then i would look up some recipes from other cultures that you're interested in.. maybe look at what's on sale at whole foods & see what recipes they have & go buy the ingredients to a meal that looks good to you. are you interested in russian culture, german culture, columbian culture, japanse culture?.. look up what kinda stuff they eat & see if anything's available in your area & go sample some of it. and the cool thing is that if you go to a restaurant, you will actually be able to walk out of wherever you go with a doggy bag! lol WOO HOO! but em.. yeah.. i have a similar problem.. i am bored to tears with food & don't like most of what i put in my face.. so i'm always looking for something new. maybe go to an asian grocery store & buy some unfamiliar greens & put 'em in a salad... or go to maangchi.com & cook yourself something korean.. one simple thing you could make would be miso Soup or doenjang chigae.. maangchi.com has a doenjang chigae recipe & there's lotsa stuff on youtube for miso pretty much potato, onion, tofu & meat (like seafood or chicken or something) if you want.. add miso after everything's done cooking & don't allow it to boil or it'll burn the miso.. then eat til your heart's content! miso is made out of soy Beans.. and if you have tofu in it, that's got Protein in it, too.. so that's why i suggested it. you can make alfredo with shirataki tofu noodles & some of those individual happy cow or whatever cheeses & a little parm cheese.. hungry girl did that on her show & it looked pretty good. um... hmm.. i dunno. lol that's all i can think of at the moment. what kinda stuff can you eat?

that's what i thought.. so i was confused what they meant by dumping and if it was different than bypass folks.. i'm pretty confused now, though.. after reading people's posts about dumping... i also don't know what sliming, foamies or other stuff is... i'm not down with the lingo, yet. lol my aunt works at a hospice center & says that bypass patients dump a lot of food.. and there's a lot of young people in the care of hospice, because they can't digest any food & they're dying.. young meaning 20's & 30's.. that's kept me at bay from gastric bypass for years.. my uncle works at a hospital where they do a lot of bariatric surgeries.. dunno what kinds.. but he hears people in pain all the time & that scares me, too..

oh i didn't get an MRI.. they couldn't do it.. cause i was too fat.. but the guy that was trying to squish me into the machine was jerking my arms around and kept sighing like "UGH!!!!" and kept acting like he was just very annoyed that i was even in his presence.. and he was fat himself. lol what happened in regards to my leg is that.. the last day i was in the hospital, i was about to do my physical therapy & i got a new physical therapist & she had me do a couple exercises & said "you have a pulled hamstring"... so i almost died over a pulled hamstring that gave me a 3 1/2 hour long charlie horse.. how dumb is that?.. and it's even more stupid that the doctors didn't have any idea what was causing my leg pain at all.. they did several ultrasounds & hooked me up to every machine they could find, but couldn't figure it out.. but a physical therapist, on my last day there, took about 45 seconds to diagnose my problem without any machinery at all. What the F?.. lol $40,000, 2 emergency room trips to 2 different hospitals, 1 week in the ICU & a near death experience later... they find out it was a pulled hamstring. really made me lose faith in medicine... and to answer your question, i don't have any permanent damage, but i'm very lucky.. and i am forbidden from ever taking anything with tylenol in it again for the rest of my life. in regards to your MRI.. i hope everything will go well & i'm happy you got an open one scheduled.

what about people who can't tolerate tylenol? i almost died & have a bad liver due to the active ingredient in tylenol.. i'm forbidden to ever take it or anything with it again, for the rest of my life. i'm happy that amusgrave is okay, though!

i have a bad liver, so i couldn't do that or smoke.. i have crappy veins, too, so i couldn't be a junkie.. looks like i'll have to find something else.. if i could pick a bad habit, i think it would be sex. if i was skinny, i'd go get me some. lol being fat, unattractive (or at least feeling unattractive even if others find you attractive) sucks.. and doesn't get you any. so there. i guess i have decided my new vice when i'm skinny will be sex.. where's the hot asian boys.. tell 'em to beware.. cause candy's coming to get 'em!!! lol --- just kidding, my morals wouldn't allow it.. even though i'd probably be thinking about it. so what's that leave?.. i can't think of anything except mutilation. damn. always get stuck with the socially unacceptable ones, don't i?.. *mopes off to practice being EMO* just kidding, of course.. i think maybe i'd get more into sports.. that's what i used to do.. sports, martial arts, etc.. and traveling. it'd be fun to get back on a horse again & do competitions... maybe get back into bodybuilding.. could be fun.

is it because of your surgery or because you don't like the taste or can't handle the taste in your mouth?.. i guess that's my concern.. if the stomach, after surgery, can or cannot handle fermented and spicy food.. if you don't like spicy stuff, then that's fine & dandy, but i do & i want to still be able to enjoy it after surgery & my stomach healed up.

cool beans! dunno why i think the stomach won't be able to handle stuff after surgery.. i don't really eat all that bad.. i just eat way too much of everything & i don't move.. :/ so i'm happy that this would make me cut my portions down. i appreciate everyone's patience with me & willingness to answer questions, too!
