Hi I was sleeve Monday 3/9 no problem what so eva no pain,gas,dried mouth.I had to ask my Dr if she did do the op.The only thing Im diabetic and my sugars went haywire.I was let home Wednesday morning,bit tender I can keep a fair bit down usually have 2 shakes per day and diet cordial.Had some chicken noodle soup drained of course. I know a few of you were chatting with Leila S she was done a few hours before me,I went and saw her the morning I was told I can go poor thing she had a couple of complications I hope she is at her resort at Coolangatta relaxing. Sorry t hear that,I was operated on the 3rd Sept home the 5 sept.No pain gas anything I asked the Dr if she definately did the op.The only thing my sugar went crazy the night or the op. I will pray for u. Julie

Hi all I had my gastric sleeve done Monday and home today cannot believe what a breeze it was nurses and Dr couldnt believe this also. I had to ask The Dr if she really done it and she said yes my stomach was hugh now I know why I could never fill it. So Im relaxing at home taking it easy.Hope everyone has an easy time. Julie

Hi I due to have my sleeve on the 3/9,I want to know becuase Im type 2 am I prone to infections more then non diabetics?? Will the wounds heal quickly. Thanks Julie

You can do this just think if u break this your liver mightnt shrink and they wont operate. good luck Julie

Kayarg Im having my sleeve Monday week 3/9 I have read about the complications I think that is human nature shouldnt do it but I do. Im nervous I think gee what if they go in and find something, stupid I know. I also think after I will feel wtf have I done but u have to stay positive.The op is the day after my birthday I will be so nervous Im not scared of any pain I hade a 11.5 llb bubby haha. I use to go to a slimming group (one of many) and there was this lady that would strip down to her underwear. I dont mind Optifast I saw someonw on here call it optishit funny. Im putting strawberries in the diet jelly thats nice. Cheers Julie

Thanks Katie Im on Optifast vlcd until the surgery,then liquids for 2 weeks then puree for another 2 then mushies. Can I ask if u get a leak will it be straight away can u get one weeks later??

Hi Everyone Im 54 on 2/9 have my sleeve done the day after.I was wondering if there were many over 50's out there glad I found some. Im nervous as it is to be expected. Will give u guys posted.I live in Australia also. Cheers julie

Hi Im an Aussie one of the reason for me is when the family went to Ayers Rock there was alot of walking and we were going to this beautiful place called Standley Chasmen and what happened I fell over my hubby couldnt get me up and this other men help so I had to go back to the bus even getting on the bus was hard. I missed out on a beautiful site. Julie

Well I just saw the Dietican and psyc Dr and they have booked me in for surgery on the 3/9. I thought of yeah thats the day after my birthday then realized it is less the 2 weeks away. ewwwww Julie
