Hi I had my op the same day as Lissa back in Sept I have had a stall for ages I have lost 25 kilos which is great BUT those bloody slider food uck it is all head hunger with me and I done get hungry but will eat the crap.I can only manage 1/2 a lean cuisine but chips lollies biscuit can eat heaps I need support I know this a tool but my head is still in control. Yeah damn those slider foods.The op is a tool and u still have to control that damn head hunger.

What do u eat for dinner.I cannot keep alot of healthy food down I have 2 cruskits for lunch I can keep cheese down.Im not sure what to eat for dinner.Salmon wont stay down chicken wont. It is funny I can eat a small pkt of twisties,ice cream.I do slow cooked meals maybe can eat 1/4 cup.I have been out for celebartions a few times dont even order just grab something off my hubbies plate oh and sushi can not even eat one roll.

Hi Im the same throwing up a bit.I cannot eat chicken,meat fish I really live on cruskits with Peanut Butter.I try a few different things but make me feel uncomfortable.

Hi I should get on here more often. lila Im so glad u have left hospital enjoy the coast. Im 7 weeks post tomorrow.What food can u peopl eat.Im finding the only thing that agrees with me are cruskits with Peanut Butter and those callipo ice blocks.Tried grill fish straight up it came any meat comes back up and I feel uncomfortable.Eggs are a no no. Any ideas??? thanks Julie

Hi Im 5 weeks out and my sugar readings are still high.The reason I had this op was to lower my sugars,My Dr said give it 6-8 weeks and see if they will come down. Has this happened to anyone else. Cheers Julie

Im an Aussie and I just converted my reading it is 225 in American readings. My Dr said to wait till im 6-8 weeks out. It is higher then it was pre op.

I will pray and everything will be ok Julie

Yeah that was me who told u her name. I might go down this week and see her it has been 5 weeks today that we had our op.

Yes I take vit d mutli Vitamin and hair n nail they are big my Im diabetic and they are horse tablets,I had to take them the first nite after the op I dont have trouble getting them down. Im going to buy some sustagen today see how that goes. I like mashed bake Beans and avocardo thats nice and have a mash weet bix for brekky but cannot eat a whole one. I just cannot wait to eat a sandwich or hald. Cheers Julie

Hi Susie 77453 how are u going?I think u had your sleeve a couple of days after me.Mine was the 3/9. I dont think I will eva enjoy food again.Im still getting pretty tired I dont think I get enought Protein in. What are u eating atm. Cheers Julie

I had my op a few hours after Lila I saw her the Wednesday morning I came home thats when things went from ok to bad for her. I rang Tweed hospital yesterday she is still in there.Her name is Melissa Scott I might go and see her soon. I will copy the last pm she said to me.On the 20/9 Hi Jules, sorry it's been another rough couple of days. The nasal feed didn't work and it was pretty traumatic. I've also got pneumonia now, which is another bit of a setback. Hoping to get a few days rest before they try again. Just got to keep all other infection away. On the upside, it looks like the leak is healing but I am likely to be here two or three more weeks yet. It's a waiting game.

You know the feeling it is really uncomfortable I also sneeze and if I over eat even by a little bit more the mouth starts to water and up she comes.

Hi Im also day 2 puree.I mashed advocado and bake Beans it was yummy but like u maybe 4 teaspoons.I also did corn beef in the slow cooker and pureed with pumpkin peas and potatoes taste the same but cannot eat too much or that full felling comes over me uck. I sent Lilia a PM but havent heard from her.

When my hubby went to the seminar I was looking at the band,couldnt bring myself to the sleeve BUT then hubby said that the sleeve would be better for my so sleeve it was.No regrets..

Hi I was 2 weeks post yesterday onto puree stage.I pureed corn beef pumpkin peas and potatoe went like a paste but tasted the same could only have maybe 1/4 -1/2 a cup.Im trying mashed bake beans and advocado today. One thing I have notice is im not weeing alot could I be dehydrated a bit????

Are u going to Tweed hospital??? I will come visit u one day before u are released. Let me know if u need anything and no I wont bring any fanta xx

Thats great Im only 1 week out op was a breeze Im scared I wont be able to eat again as Im not hungry even having Soup I have to force myself.Weight is also dropping off.I luv seafood salad. Take care

Kyargh,I was operated on a couple of hours after Lila by the same Dr I feet guilty that my op was a breeze so sad for her but she will get there. I dont regret the decision there was a lady on sunrise tis morning over in England that is down to 55k but she had the full bypass and she is fading away.I finding it hard to keep up with the fluids even the Soups I dont even think about food,but u have to follow the program. I have 5 wounds my son said mum it was like u were stabbed 5 times ouch.The Dr also said my stomach was huge. She said she DVD it will have to see kit. Julie
