Sleeved 9/4, down 40 lbs from highest weight. Just woke up shivering, stabbing pain where breastbone ends radiating to my right hand side (left if you are looking at me). I hurried up & got in the bath & hoping a warm soak will help but it isn't working. Only thing I did different today/tonight is take a Calcium supplement (just got them today) and that's it! Could it be gallbladder? I've never hd any gallbladder issues before. :-/ Sent from my iPhone using VST

Shortness=slower weight loss?
robynluevano replied to selbradey's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm 5 ft 2, started at 213 (218 was my heaviest) size 18/20, and a 14/16 top. I weighed today at 169 (but this scale always shows me at a 2 lbs higher than another scale), I am in a size 12 pant, m/l sweats from Victoria's Secret, and a m or l top. I am 4 months post op. I say I'm down 50 lbs (bc of my heaviest weight being just 2 months prior to surgery), that's 12.5 lbs a month on average. That's 2.7 lbs a week. That's HUGE! Be proud of your goals, and never compare yourself to someone else! You aren't them, and you never will be. Great job so far, and keep up the great work!! Sent from my iPhone using VST -
Surgery 9/4 & Hard Vein From Iv
robynluevano posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Where my IV was in my hand is super sore, can barely even touch it. It is also super hard. Any advice? It hurts to even just lay down & put my hand under the pillow. I know at one time they had to flush the IV out bc it stopped running (omg ouch!!). Robyn -
From what I can tell, it happens to everyone. Just remember you are probably losing inches, don't be concerned about the number. It will go down. I weigh daily during the week, but I don't let the number on the scale upset me bc I know it can fluctuate. :-) Sent from my iPhone using VST

Gallbladder Removal During Vsg
robynluevano replied to ArcusX's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just had mine removed yesterday, 3 months & 3 days after my sleeve. I wish I could have foreseen that it would go wacky & I had the option of having it out when I had the sleeve. I am in so much pain, if I do not take the pain meds every 4 hours I feel horrible. Sent from my iPhone using VST -
Gallbladder Removal During Vsg
robynluevano replied to ArcusX's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Responding even though I didn't have mine out during my VSG surgery, but I am having it removed 3 months & 4 days after having my VSG surgery. I had an attack a few weeks ago, first ever. Never had a scan on my GB before this. I will be having it removed Friday. I would go ahead & get it out now if they are giving you that option. I wouldn't wish that pain on anyone! We got home at 6:30, slept since then. I have gallstones. My gallbladder wasn't infected, swollen, or inflamed. White blood count was elevated due to the attack. I am calling my bariatric doctor tomorrow morning. He can do the surgery. Now to figure out cost wise if it is best to do it now, or wait until next year (bc of ins changes at work). Thanks for asking!! :-) Sent from my iPhone using VST

Junk Food. Why?
robynluevano replied to SleeveShelly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didn't crave junk food per say, but I was just very hungry all week. It was my TOM though, so I say that is why. I'm not normally hungry so I can only relate it to that. Sent from my iPhone using VST -
Boobs & Such...
robynluevano replied to tonyarenee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't gone, but I am holding out. I want to go to Victoria's Secret. I can't wear one of the bras I have at all bc it is huge & goes up way too high on my chest. Looks funny. Sent from my iPhone using VST -
Drinking W/meals
robynluevano replied to mufasas-mom's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I will usually take 2-3 sips of Water. One in the beginning, and a few at the end. Nothing more. I feel like my mouth gets dry if I don't. :-) Sent from my iPhone using VST -
Food Sweats And Feeling Drink Temp On Skin?
robynluevano replied to Tanya_cotto's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
When I have a hot drink it is weird, like I feel it spread from my stomach to all over. But I only feel it with warm liquid. I am 7 weeks post now, so I don't give it too much thought. I also swear I have seen people talk about that before too. Sent from my iPhone using VST -
Normally I have no issues bc there is a fridge, ice, etc at work. Tomorrow my mom is having surgery. I will be taking her & not leaving until she can leave. What can I take that doesn't need to be refrigerated? Normally I am at work at 8, have a yogurt at 9, snack at 11, and so on. I'll be leaving the house at 4 am, so I can take my yogurt with me. The surgery is at 7, and I'm sure I will be hungry before. Ideas? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using VST
