Luckily for me the NSAIDs thing didn't bother me, as I am allergic to all NSAIDs. I will take an Allegra, it is tiny, so it shouldn't hurt me. Thanks so much! I've sneezed about 50 times in 20 minutes. They are killer today.

Oh this is just seasonal allergies. And they are closed today. Grrrr. :-/

No, I will show my eBay profile so you ladies know I am not going to take the money & run, lol. I have 100% positive reviews. I will send the emails out tonight. I just finished at my "other" job (volunteer) & we are having dinner. I will log & take pics of everything. Just pm your email address. -
Here are some pics from 8/18 3 days before I started my liquid diet, then today, 10/3. I weighed in at 213 my last preop appt, today I weighed 189. :-)

Sleeved 9/4 Pics
robynluevano replied to robynluevano's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That's actually my friends baby! My daughter is 9, so no need to hold her, lol. I would imagine if I had a wee one I could have held him/her sitting down, but not picked them up & walked around while holding. -

Post Op Medications?
robynluevano replied to chelbroyer's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am supposed to start calcium citrate at 4 weeks, which is now, oops. And then my multi, b-12, and Prilosec. I'd talk to the doctor. :-) -
I tried to do this tonight, I'm 4 weeks out, and I thought I might be ok. I now feel like I am going to throw up. Even had to take a nausea pill. Ughhhhh. :-(

Had my surgery 9/4, that night my left side (by my ribs) incision started bleeding, and bandage change after bandage change wouldn't get it to stop. The next day the nurse & dr applied a pressure bandage to it, which hurt like holy heck! That finally got it to stop. I had my staples removed on 9/12, the nurse put a few steri-strips on it to make sure it wouldn't open back up. Fast forward to now. I haven't had any issues with it, but it just hasn't completely healed. It doesn't look infected, but part of it is still open. Here are two pictures, one when I was released (you can see all my incisions, but the one that is blackish is the one with the large clot on it) the other tonight, the close up of said incision. What do you think? My next appt isn't until 10/17, but I can see about getting in this week.

Finally Frustrates Enough To Post About It
robynluevano replied to Justine13's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am almost 4 weeks post op. lost 8 lbs preop, and 13 post op. I haven't lost but 1 lb since 9/15, and lost 3 lbs from 9/12-915. I understand this is normal, and I am just rolling with it. I do know that I am losing inches bc I had to pull some smaller pants out of the closet, and shirts that fit snug, are now much looser. I weigh myself only during the week, and only at work, I don't trust that scale as much though bc it was about 2 lbs more than the dr showed. -
I can drink 8 oz of water pretty quickly & I'm 3 weeks out. But if I drink it too fast I am in pain.

Did You Name Your Sleeve?
robynluevano replied to LawDiva312's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My husband said we should call it sh*tbag. It's sort of a joke. If you've seen Friends, and seen the episode where Phoebe changes her name, it has to do with the crap bag part of that show. I love that show! Bahahahahahaha :x -
I finally felt restriction today, at least I think that is what it was! Strange feeling. I quickly slowed down & backed off.

Yes, most do. My bra band size is already smaller. My cup size isn't yet, but I'm only 3 weeks out. -

You think pot roast in its own juice would be good blenderized? -
How tall are you? I'm short, started at 213, and I was an 18. Today I was at 191.8 3 weeks postop & I am still wearing the size 18, but they are super loose. I had a pair of size 16 jeans, put them on Saturday & they came to my crotch (bc they were so baggy), had to put a 14 on. All of the above clothes are from Lane Byrant.

Family Not Supportive
robynluevano replied to Joy1961's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My mom wasn't supportive at first. She wanted me to keep trying weight watchers. She is 5 ft 10 & been thin her whole life. I was adopted, and I am 5 ft 2 and started at 218. Weighed in at dr for my last visit pre op at 213.6, my last appt 9/13 9 days post op I was 195.6. My mom understands it was my choice & I am a big girl & paid for the surgery myself. I think she gets it now. My husband has been very supportive & has even cut sugar from his diet as much as possible. Once I am able to eat he will start eating the same things I can. My in laws are all very supportive as are the friends I have told. I wouldn't NOT do it again, as I know this is all that will keep me from ending up with comorbidities. I did this for me first, my family second. They will either like it & support me, or not & I will continue to become a more healthy person without their support.
