  1. Ok so now that I have my surgery date I'm getting super excited but the one thing I was told is no preop diet that I have to do. I am wondering if I should do one anyways to prepare for what's to come after surgery? Does anyone know someone who did not have to do one and did not ..I guess succeed...after surgery? I think that is my fear..failure.

    Preop Diet Or Not?

That is very reassuring! I was afraid that not doing one will cause set backs after surgery but hearing the both of you say u are fine after surgery is awesome. And I can't wait to be lighter 70lbs!

Soo Scared And Excited All At The Same Time!

Yeah they were gonna set it for this Friday but I need to finish this quarter for school. I just started this whole process with my nutrition class on 8/21. It's crazy how fast all this is moving
  4. I am so glad that I found this site now that I have finally decided on the sleeve. I have been thinking about WLS for a few years and in the past 3 months have seriously considered the Sleeve. SOOO I started my journey with my PCP letting him know this is what I have decided to do. Now I have the nutrition class on 08/21 then meet the surgeon on 08/23 then psych evaluation on 08/27. I was told during my initial conversation with the coordinator at the surgeon's office that once I get my psych evaluation done then we will set a date. This seems to be going REALLY fast. I have read where it takes most people at least 2 months for the process and other much longer. It almost seems too good to be true because I am given the impression I will have surgery within a month MAYBE month and half from initial call from surgeon's office. How long did the whole process take from beginning to end?

    Psych Evaluation

Ok so I have my psych evaluation in a week and I am filling out my pre appointment paperwork and now I am a little worried. I have a bipolar mom and I have been diagnosed as OCD in the past and I am now worried that this may keep me from passing the evaluation. I am a depressed person but mostly bc of my weight and I am not on medication for it so I don't think that will be a concern but bc my mother is clinically diagnosed and takes medication for bipolar and it can be hereditary. I know I should be honest but I almost feel like I want to keep that info out of the psych evaluation. Has anyone else been in this same situation and experienced a good outcome?

    Psych Evaluation

I received my paperwork and it said like 2 hours for test and about 1 1/2 hour with the doctor. I dont like test anyways because I think way to much into things so if there was a question " would you like to be a race car driver" I would sit there and think long and hard about it..."It might be fun! i mean I could do it and I would be awesome so yes? I would like to be a race car driver??" lol I agree though..i dont understand why its required only becuase obesity hits every type of person a little nuts or not.
