Is anyone buying a goal outfit?? I'm afraid I will buy an outfit and once I get to my goal weight I may still not fit in it. I don't know what I should do?

Goal Outfit.
SoonToBeThinKAT replied to SoonToBeThinKAT's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
That works bc I would have to buy smaller clothes when i lose weight anyways. My ultimate goal is to shop at Victoria's secret but it would be harder to guess what size I will be with that -
I Don't Carw How Hot I May Look...
SoonToBeThinKAT replied to Justine13's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Lol!!!! Omg this made me lol literally! I wear them on special occasions and never in public bc I don't want people to have to watch me pick that intentional wedgie! -
Unfortunately I am in the same boat. Even though I know it's wrong I am doing it. I am not required a preop diet so I am eating what I want now and will do my own preop diet the week of.

Oooh ok I already got all my insurance required stuff done:) I have surgery preop stuff like blood work and stuff left to do
-
I'm glad you posted this bc I go for all my preop stuff on Wednesday!

I guess this is more of a vent or rant or whatever but the closer I get to my actual surgery the more I get the fear of failure. I know of 2 people personally who have been sleeved and are at least 6 months out and one of them actually gained weight and the other 40lbs and then started to gain again. One of these women exercise daily and eats properly yet she is gaining again. I know failure is usually due to wrong diet or not exercising but what if I do all of that and it doesnt work?? I have done my research and know the success rate is very high for sleeve and I try to stay as positive as much as I can but I still get that fear in the back on my head that I will be one of those who fail. I have an amazing husband who is supporting me throughout this whole process but he is the only support I have outside of this site. I have several friends however they have already expressed their opinion about wls on others who have had it and its not good so I have decided its none of their business so I am not telling them. I have another friend who had the full gastric (roux en y) and 1 month out she is eating cheese burgers and fries for lunch so she is not the support that I need thru this because she just ruined the tool that was given to her by the surgeon. I know this is the right thing for me for to do for myself and i plan on going thru with it but just afraid it wont work. I have been overweight my entire life and EVERYTHING that I tried did not work and I know this is true with all of you otherwise you would not have decided on surgery. Sorry again just a nagging thought in my head I had to get out.

Fear Of Failure
SoonToBeThinKAT replied to SoonToBeThinKAT's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Absolutely!! I have looked on some of the other threads and found out that everyone was having surgery on every day in September EXCEPT for Sept 21st lol I think it will help having 2 others having surgery the same day as me. -

I was too. I actually wondered if she is not doing everything the right way when she is not around us. -
Fear Of Failure

Libby I hate the idea of pain. I have a high pain tolerance but when I do feel it I turn into a big baby! Also according to my NUT she said I will be on puréed foods once I leave the hospital so not just a liquid diet which I think wil help me some. -

I would think it would be an easier transition to post op. I know they are not fun to do but it's all for the best -
Anyone Having Surgery On 9/21?
SoonToBeThinKAT replied to SoonToBeThinKAT's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
No pre-op diet required which I would have thought he would want me on for at least 2 day prior. I know a lot of people are on liquid diets for about 2 weeks. I think I am going to do one anyways. -

How Long Does It Take For Them To Schedule Surgery When U Start?
SoonToBeThinKAT replied to nicci1228's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It depends a lot on what the insurance company requires. I have heard it taking 6 months for some people. I initially brought up the idea of wls to my pcp on 07/17 and he recommended a surgeon. I did not contact the surgeon's office until about 08/13, NUT class on 08/21, initial consult with surgeon on 08/23, psych evaluation on 08/27 and received approval from insurance on 09/04 and surgery date on 09/21. -

Was Anyone Not Put On Pre Op Diet?
SoonToBeThinKAT replied to SleeveShelly's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I think it all depends on the surgeon. My bmi is 41 and i didnt have to do one and a friend of mine who used the same surgeon was bmi of about 50 and she didn't have to do one. -
Final Answer On Water?
SoonToBeThinKAT replied to earth2terra's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was told by my NUT that it can push the food you have eaten down so it allows you to eat more bc you don't feel the fullness like you would just by eating. But I have heard a few different reasons. -
I bought a Magic Bullet this past weekend and I LOVE it. I got it from Costco so it has the mugs, the small blender cups and an actual full size blender. It was only $49.99 and I've already used it a lot.

Psych. Appt.
SoonToBeThinKAT replied to williamrjomes2's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I wish mine was that painless! I really hate tests! I had the 385 true false question test, memory tests, other puzzles(I didn't understand that part) and spent only about 15 mins with the actual dr and all this took 4 hrs. I was starting to get bored lol. I've heard of other people who just talked to the dr for like an hour and got approved. She actually said my OCD may keep me from getting approved bc I may not be able to ritualize thru the day when I'm trying to heal. I was starting to think she was the crazy one lol -
