  1. Loving life! The BEST thing I've ever done. The resources and advice I've gotten on this board have been instrumental and I thank you all! About 7-8lbs more to go to hit goal and give myself a couple pound buffer but I know it will happen. Thanks again!

    Winning!

Haven't won yet, 10 lbs to normal bmi then maintenance forever, but had a major victory this week. The straw that broke the camels back for me to have surgery was being at an amusement park with the kids last year. Got on a ride and buckle wouldn't fit across all of us. Had to get the kids off, but I was kind if stuck in so couldn't tie up ride longer ad had to ride alone while the kids watched. Went back to park this week and 94 lbs and almost 10 months later ---no problem! Best thing I've ever done for myself by far!

    getting close altered

I've actually found it to be less expensive to buy "new-to-me" at a consignment shop vs having suits altered. Really surprised when I took my first suit to the tailor and I got 3 suits at consignment shop for same price

    Anyone in the Boston/North area?

I'm up north as well close to nh line. 8 months out 88lbs down 15 to go. Best thing I have EVER done for myself. Good luck and give a shout if I can be of any help.

    Test

Wasn't the most pleasant 24 hours of my life but really not that bad. Didn't hurt, strange sensation in throat area that I really can't explain. Almost like every so often I just felt like something was in my throat.

    Anyone with PCOS?

I have pcos and was on max doses of metformin preop. I was lucky enough to have twins (with assistance) and a single baby after a hard core low carb diet. No matter what I did for diet and exercise I just couldn't drop below 220 (250-260 with carbs and no exercise) at my surgeon consult I explained my concern that if have surgery and what if I still can't drop below 220. She told me not to worry about it, wouldn't be an issue. 7 months later I'm at my surgeons goal of 170 with 25 more to go for my goal. I will say the other most annoying symptom I have of hair growth has not changed at all. Still pretty bad. Guess you can't have everything but happy with what I got! Good luck on your journey!

    Mfp question

Anyone help a computer challenged person? I haven't input my measurements in since I was preop. Did them today, but only shows 3 months progress. Anyway to get back to show originals since I've already forgotten them?! I'm 7 months out. Thanks in advance for any help!

    Former (or current) band folks

thank you all for your input, really appreciate it! band surgeon said he pretty much guarantees its not band related. offered endoscope (just had upper gi xrays in hospital), but thought in his experience it would be a waste of time. hes pretty renowned so didnt think worth pursuing. although after reading your comment ms. Antiband, im wondering...Did you have any other symptoms if you dont mind me asking (low blood counts)? all of his lab work, stress test and echocardiogram are normal, has a 30 day heart monitor on now. feels fine now, but we're scared it's going to happen again! with 3 small kids, it's especially nerve wracking! thank you all again!
