kaylali replied to weightingtolose's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Shar, you can get the advantEdge just at walmart. I want to say that in a pack of 4 they are like $6-$7. I am not sure on the whey protein tubes, but I would be interested in those also:) -
KInda feel like Belite over charged me
kaylali replied to TRANAM1955's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Beliteweight.com is a websit for surgeries in mexico, they do go through a sceduling service, most of there reps are somwhere in california. -
So I have a weird question, because I am quite a modest person, I have just started wondering what exactly do we wear during the surgery?
-
Hey there fellow may 25ther. where are you getting your surgery? I am going to the hospital angeles in tj. also does your doctor have a pre op diet set up for you? mine doesnt have you do one other than not eating anything past 10pm night befor surgery. The patient facilitator says that this doc doesnt require it unless bmi is greater than 45. Mine is 35.
-
Thanks I was beginning to think that I had really overlooked somthing important in all the paper work. But after reading it through again it just says the same stuff as your doctor told you to do about the not having anything the night befor thing. Did your recovery seem to be similar to others?
-
You seem like such a bitter and unhappy person, to spend so much time bashing somthing that you obviously know not much about. If living without religion would lead me to anywhere close to were you are, then that is reason enough for me to continue to beleive in my savior Jesus Christ and strive daily to follow his commandments and be a better person, mother, and friend.:fish:

Funny you should mention Larry King, Do you know that he is married to a Mormon. He tells everyone that on that same special he did on poligamy. He also very clearly states that there is a huge difference in the warren Jeffs group and the "Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" also known as the mormons. Do you think that he would marry somone who is totally so weird like you claim that mormons are. You are baseing your entire opion on the mormon faith from tv depictions and articles you read. Do you honestly think that if all the articles were just normal everyday things that people would get all hyped up like this pbs special, the people who write these articles have to spice it up with " I heard" or " I have a friend who say's" there really isnt anything valid that you are stating to back up that you know these terrible things about the mormons.

Hi, I would love to join this group. I think that this is exactly what I needed to find. I am starting at 5'5" and 212pd, and my doctor isnt putting me on a preop diet. I wish we knew why sometimes they do and somtimes they dont. Do you think that if you kinda put yourself on a preop diet even if your doctor didnt instruct you to that it would help speed recovery????? just a thought. It is so great to hear from these other postings that there are others that are starting at the same bmi and loosing befor there sergerys and still able to go forward with it. I have been trying to not loose weight thinking that if I did loose a few pds that I could potentially not be able to qualify for the surgery. silly that for yrs now I have been trying to loose weight and now I have been worried to loose, LOL!

do you just go to like a gnc to get the myoplex premixed drinks? or do you order them online?

I love this conversation about the gallbladder:) I am a hairdresser and am only taking 1 1/2 weeks off work, I am praying that I am one of the quick recovery cases so that noone will notice that I have even been off. I am one of the "NOT GOING TO TELL ANYONE" kinda girl. which is soooo hard since I talk all day for a living:) I think if I am not feeling up to par quite yet and am moving slower I may need to use the gallblader thing, lol! I am getting banded may 25th, ya hoooooo! in Mexico.
-
Ok I love that I found this thread to share how hard it is for me not to talk about this with everyone. I am a hairdresser, enough said. Just kidding, so that is what I do is talk talk and more talking. I consider all of my clients my really good friends, so I decided that it would be one of the first things (ha ha) that I wouldnt share with everyone. Only my husband, 2 sisters and my parents know. This is one of the hardest things to keep from my husbands side of the fam. only because they live right by us. But I do know that they will be oppininated about not getting it. I dont want any negativity about it right now. maybe once it is all said and done I will share it with them. they are going to have to know that somthing is up when they see what I will be eating. But for now I am in the closet with it.

I am getting banded on the 25th of this month, ya hoooo! I feeling like this is consuming my thoughts, my poor husbad doesnt want to hear anything else about it, so I think this website will be good for me:) is there anyone out there from az?
-
Hi I was reading through some replys and read your little blirp about kids and i to have 6m old son, 2 yr old daughter and an 8 almost 9yr old (she alwaysreminds me that she is almost 9:) I am going to be getting banded on the 25th of this month. I am feeling those same feelings of scared nervous and just excited! I am doing it down in Mexico because I would never be able to jump through all the hoops that they want you to do in the US. I have talked to oddles of people who have gone down there and had a great experience so I feel good about it. My starting weight is 212, and I know that people tell me that its not enough to get this drastic thing done. but this is a problem for me and I dont want to continue to go from day to day and gradually get higher and talk and talk about it. I want to just get it taken care of right now so I can have a different story to my life. Sorry I am rambling, but I guess that is what this is for right:)

wow that is so bold to say things that you dont fully understand! The fundamentalist mormons that you spoke of like waren jeffs etc.... are not at all related to "The church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" also known as Mormons. they are 2 totally different church groups that are not associated together. I to dissagree with waren jeffs group and the pologamy and such.

Did you pay attention to the last line in that quote that you pulled up. "Individuals can then choose to accept or reject what has been done in there behalf." nothing is DONE to anyone. [quo te=Sunta;459636]Ok, I went to the Website you suggested sweethot, and found this: "Jesus Christ taught that baptism is essential to the salvation of all who have lived on earth (see John 3:5). Many people, however, have died without being baptized. Others were baptized without proper authority. Because God is merciful, He has prepared a way for all people to receive the blessings of baptism. By performing proxy baptisms in behalf of those who have died, Church members offer these blessings to deceased ancestors. Individuals can then choose to accept or reject what has been done in their behalf." Ummmm.... how is this not an atrocious practice that directly subverts the individual's right to decide if they want to be made a Mormon? They're dead! They can't speak for themselves! Also, how do I ensure that MY name doesn't somehow come up in their files after I've died? Because I NEVER want my name associated with this religion. What about if I started baptizing all Mormon names I can find as some other religion? How would they feel about that?

Nobody REQUIRES you to do geneology work if you are mormon. how funny! however it is encouraged, and how interesting to learn about your history and where your family comes from and such, what a neat thing regaurdless of whether you are mormon or not. Doing our heirs temple work is more of an honor and a gift to that person, and doesnt change anything about who that person was while they were here on earth. That person still has the free agency to accept or deny the gospel in heaven. The mormon church doesnt force you to do anything. quote=Lap_dancer;459549]I can't speak for a Mormon person not being one. I can tell you the foundation for their church is not what I would call my cup of tea. I know the person they believe to be a prophet was Joseph Smith and he was the foundation for the religion. He was something like 14 years old at the time. He "found" gold tablets in the woods. I can't get mad at people who believe in a religion. I can get upset at someone for altering historical documents to suit their need. I do know the Mormons have a HUGE archive of geneology and they require when you convert that you begin your family geneology at some point. Documenting history is wonderful but I wonder WHO is allowing someone to alter their heir's religion???? Just because THEY change it doesn't make it so.

This just seems so sad that you sat through an entire tv episode and only walked away from it with the weird things about the mormon beliefs. You have to remember that this tv episode was depicted from a man who is not even mormon, and many of his interveiws were done with x mormons, so of course they arnt going to be all happy and positive. One thing about the mormon church is that it is not a church of conveinence, it does not change all the rules just to make people happy, however people have their free agency to choose to obey or not obey. nobody is forcing anyone to do anything. This church and its beleifs are so great even though all of its members may not be.
