Your story made my night! I'm usually a pretty calm person.. but I would have ripped her a new a*****e lol (I have a bit of a temper when it comes to ignorance lol) But you did so much better!! Good for you for standing up for yourself and doing it in a classy way!!

Hey, I have my nose pierced and I left it in during surgery, the doctor just told me of a slight chance that something might happen and a volt or something could go through anything that is metal and it might burn a hole in my nose.. I was like.. Meh, I'll take the risk. haha, and I came out just fine. He said he has never seen it happen that it is usually only something in textbook but he has to say it as a warning.

jI'm so sorry I've been MIA! I've just been doing a lot with my mom and adjusting to my new life post surgery! Ohh and after your EGD you can walk over to his office and ask to set up your sleeve surgery! They asked me when I was looking to have it , and I said the first appointment you've got would be great! so it was less than a month after my egd! good luck to you and I hope you get the date that you want!!

Hey steph! It is the eve of your surgery! as well as you too Jakat! I'm so excited for yall! and Yes I did cheat. And I cheated... well not good lol I had chinese food, pizza.. lol etc.. and my liver was just fine to have the surgery. so don't worry! all is well! I think they expect people to cheat but want to try to get you to do the best as you can. I still have a ton of that nasty food from fast track sitting in my kitchen, knowing I will never, ever, eat that crap.. hahaha too bad you can't sell it back.. that was the worst! I'm almost 2 weeks out now and i've dropped a little more weight. and for the first time in about a year, I'm having a period! and I also haven't had to take my type 2 diabetes medicine since the eve of my surgery! so I'm pretty excited about everything, and my size 20 jeans that I was squeezing into (because I refused to buy a 22 lol!) i'm now fitting comfortably into! so it is an exciting time, but there are major adjustments after the surgery. and I thought the hunger thing would go away instantly, Mine has not. I am by no means like ravenous, but I do get hungry, and wait til I can eat again lol i think it is mostly mental, and eating and drinking slow is a crazy thing to adjust to. I'm still trying to slow down my eating. but I'm getting there! I wish yall the best of luck! and I'm praying for yall! Rachel

I'm a week and a half out of surgery lost ten pounds so far. But I have cheated on the post op diet.. and I feel super guilty.. and I'm hoping my stomach will be okay..

I had a couple crackers and I have had cheese. I chewed them both to mushy texture so I'm hoping that that will be okay.

Also what time are yalls surgeries? ?

Hey ladies I am six days post op and I weighed in at 262 on their scale and on my scale I weigh 251.4! So already down 10 pounds! I quit taking pain meds on day 2.5 and I haven't taken nausea meds since the night of surgery I take meds everyday for the gerd though. I'm still having stomach growling and I feel hungry but nothing like it was and the nurses said it was normal. That this is the mental part of the surgery. I'm holding up really well! I.hope all you ladies on pre op are hanging in there and I wish you all the best of luck! Tons of prayer and good feelings towards you all! Ohh and the pain now is so tolerable it just feels like I've done a tonnn of sit ups lol (obviously I haven't hahaha) almost time for for pureed foods! Excitement! Hahaha

And you were right funsize! Lol I was all worried about my liver and all went well! I was being very silly lol

Aww thank you so much Lynn2win! And let me tell you guys I felt all of your prayer! Thank you all soooo much! My surgery went really really smooth. I was in surgery at 1230 and came out a little after 1! The pain is not bad. Just right after surgery the worst part OS the nasuea. It was really bad. But just take the nausea meds and sleep and it gets a lot better. I'm still on my liquid Vicodin and it helps a lot. They also discharged me at 530 pm yesterday! So I got there at 11 and left at 530! All the staff was super nice and they took such great care of me! I couldn't have asked for a better staff to take care of me and they answered all my questions and were very paitent with me. I was also up walking an hour after surgery. Just everybody is different and be paitent with yourself! God bless you all for the prayers again! You stay in mine as well! Rachel

OMG I know right! I was like I could do this diet on like a 50 dollar budget if I bought my own food! but they said they use this food for a reason so I'm just trying to believe in it ya know?!

Aww Thank you sooo much for your kind words! I'm really hoping to make it to the losers bench, now i'm just getting worried about what if my liver is too big! I'm reading lots of people got turned away because of their liver. so now i'm ultra nervous!! eek!

lynn2win I can't believe the holidays are right around the corner and for the first time in my whole life I will not be able to stuff myself! I'm both upset and excited about this aspect. One because I'll not be able to stuff myself and I'll be living a healthier life style. but 2 I'm a fat girl who really loves food and it will no longer be my "friend" per say ya know?? lol so I just have to stay in prayer and realize that I'm doing this for my health and that I'll be able to eat all the foods (I hope) I love again one day just in a smaller quantity. Jakat and lynn2win... I am sorry to report I HATED everything. well almost everything the 3 things Icould stomach were the : 1 Lemonrazzy drink, 2 the Cappuccino and 3 the marshmallow hot chocolate.. everything else...oh god.. I reallly realllly hope yall find something that you like! but if you don't you can return boxes and do packet exchanges! oh and the shakes/puddings aren't terrible.. but the Soup chili oatmeal Protein bars... BARF ( Just my personal opinion and I hope it's not true for you all!)

Hey Stephanie! I understand about the cold feet! My surgery is Monday and I'm wondering should I get it or should I attempt yet another diet?? haha, but I know I need the extra help because nothing else has ever worked. and I was getting stressed so I went outside of the preop diet and Now I feel guilty about it.. I Hope I didn't sabotage my chances of having surgery Monday. Ughhh. Now I'm just getting my apartment together for when I come home, and I have a ton of cleaning and laundry to do lol I hope you have a lot better luck on the diet than I'm having! lol I'm not scared either about the diet afterwards or the pain. I have a very high pain tolerance and I've pushed myself through a lot of things. I think the hardest part is the pre op diet.. It really is more mental than anything. Ugh lol Also I'm not too scared about the complications either. I leave that in Gods hands. But that is just me besides this pre op diet the thing i'm not looking forward to is people taking care of me and waiting on me! I hate that! I'd rather do it for myself but sometimes it just is what it is lol and seriously the scope is SUPER easy ! ( If i'm reading right you had it today?) I understand! ( and SOmetimes my fat girl thoughts come out and I think I'll never be able to eat this or this again!) but I digress lol My best friend also tried to talk me out of it by saying that she's worried and doesn't think I need it. But I know I need it because of health problems and i'm a big girl lol But just hang in there like you're doing! one day our friends will understand why lol (and damnit I really really want a beer... damn pre op.. hahaha)

I Understand you.. All you can do is try your best! I've cheated on my pre op diet and I get surgery in 6 days. We're all human. But I weighed in at 267 starting pre op and I'm down to 258 right now and I still have a full 5 days to go. IT's all good!

I hate it all. The only thing I get down are the drinks and that is because I chugg them lol but I tried a lot of the things.. and YUCKKK hahaha

I'm sorry to be a Debbie downer.. but I'm so nauseous and I'm only on day 3 of 14.. lol I can't wait til the surgery is over! Its so hard to eat the food and drinks that they provide cause I don't wanna eat. But on the plus side I'm down to 262.4.. yayyy haha
