Ideas For Puree Stage?
Carrie's Journey replied to LorenaVaca's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I can't. I'm almost 3 weeks out and can only have Soup (not creamy or chunky), cottage cheese, eggs, Greek yogurt, tofu...I think that's it. I think next week I can start tuna, chicken, and egg salad but I'm sure they'll tell me no to any crackers. -
How The Hell Do You Drink Isopure?
Carrie's Journey replied to Carrie's Journey's topic in Food and Nutrition
Crazy how some people like it and some (like me) cant stand it. At least there's a bit of variety out there for all of us. Just tasted Syntrax Banana cream and am in love! Mix it with chocolate protein powder and that's a winner too! -

Carrie's Journey replied to CandiKiss's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have 5 but 4 are super tiny. I swear my stretch marks from babies are WAY worse. Won't be showing this belly off ever. -
Isopure is nasty. I can't see how some people like them.

Some of the Nectar flavors taste like a crystal lite drink, but I think the Health Wise drinks do more. The berry is my favorite but they're pricey. I'm going to try those Isopure drinks soon...

I was sleeved 7/31 and I've been at the same weight for 3 days now. I guess I expected it but it's still a little disappointing when I'm doing everything right!

Surgery Tomorrow And I Bummed....
Carrie's Journey replied to TxMimi's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I told my husband to go out and eat dinner. My surgeon called him when I was out and he came back for a little bit to hang out but I pretty much slept that whole night. He fell asleep on the couch and I made him go home. He couldn't be there the next day but I was totally fine by myself. My mother in law actually came to pick me up and take me home. Everything was fine... I brought the iPad but didn't even take it out. The time went by super fast. -

Aww that makes me feel good! So my $17,500 wasn't wasted? Lol I'm starting his support group tonight. I'm lucky I live close to him. I know a lot of his patients fly out to see him. -

Time Of The Month During Your Surgery?
Carrie's Journey replied to urbandecayno5's topic in The Gals' Room
I didnt have a catheter. I had to stop birth control pills the week before so I figured it would come during surgery. It did, but it was very light. I wore their net underwear (the nurse said they were their Victoria's Secret underwear...lol) and that big ol pad. It wasn't an issue at all. -

I'm a high school counselor and going back next week! I'm 2 weeks out and I have a hair appt this Friday! I didn't even think about...I need a touch-up. You nervous about your new eating habits at work? I've decided not to tell anyone there just yet... -
No More Diet Coke!
Carrie's Journey replied to jbgirl5856's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I stopped drinking caffeine pre-op and I think my headaches finally starting going away around day 4. I could only take Tylenol too. Now 2 weeks out and don't need caffeine at all. -
How Will I Know When Im Full?
Carrie's Journey replied to Aug2ndsleever's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you're just drinking fluids right now, I'm not sure if you get the same sensation as when you're eating food. I carry around my Water and shakes and seem to drink quite a bit (not at once of course). I had 1/4 cup of cottage cheese today (yay...first soft food!) and couldn't finish it. I started to feel full so I stopped and ate the rest about 30 min later. I was really trying to assess how I was feeling so I didn't overeat. It was the weirdest thing...you'll know when you're full. I'm 2 weeks out. I was so excited to not be able to finish 1/4 cup! Crazy! -

Carrie's Journey replied to SensationallySassyT's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am in complete shock that I'm surviving (and doing well) at 400 calories a day. The loss of hunger is freakin awesome! But if my husband brings home a burger (bastatd), I still kinda want a bite. Lol I'll save that experience for when I'm allowed solids... -
