I too started with a 50+ BMI and did high protein/low carb pre-op diet - I think it's the best way to go because it's basically what your diet will be post-op. Good Luck!

Yes, you'll feel normal again give it some time. You just had surgery, the pain meds can make you feel like crap! Once you are moving around a bit more and "eating" more food you'll feel better. I'm not allowed wine until I'm six months out so, sorry can't help with that one.

Muscle Milk is vile... what about unjury Chocolate Splendor or GNC Chocolate Caramel they are both pretty good. Do you add ice and put them in the blender that really helps. -

Honestly, you're not going to be able to eat much... soup or soft fish or maybe chilli try taking a look at the appetizers. -
