I went to see my doc on Wednesday. She said the pill was OK for regulating your cycle but no so hot on preventing pregnancy. I know some ladies get the shot or an IUD or that under the arm thing (can't remember what it's called). Hubby has an appt with a urologist tomorrow to see about scheduling a snip for him. Until then, it's condoms for us. We don't like them but we'd like a surprise even less. Good luck!

Is this normal? Nothing I've tried really tastes good. I'm 2 weeks out and got released to soft foods Wednesday. I've tried chicken salad, pinto beans, yogurt... Nothing tastes good. I'm actually dreading eating now. The only thing I've had that I like is applesauce but it has 0 protein.

My nose is running a lot too... Wonder why? Hmmmm...

Yes I'm taking my vitamins... It's not an orange taste... It's more of a bitter/ick taste... Nothing tastes good... This is very frustrating... I'm just seriously dreading eating at this point and I'm only a few days in...

I seem to be having a HUGE problem swallowing my Vitamin without feeling like I'm about to throw it back up. Are there any other options out there? How do you guys handle it? Now, let me say that I was just released to soft foods yesterday so there still may be some swelling in there and that may be part of my problem. I just know I need to get it in and I'm having a hard time. Thanks!

Tomato soup from Campbell's was my go to... It seriously helped me get through the first couple of weeks...

Well, called my NUT several hours ago and still haven't heard back. I went to the store and got some liquid calcium (2 Tbsp=1000 mg) and I got some Viactiv chews (1 chew=500 mg). I think that'll cover it. I also found the Centrum chewable. This should SO help.

Anyone who says you took the easy way out obviously knows nothing about this procedure. The easy way out would have been just giving up and accepting we were fat. I watched my mom do this last October and it gave me new respect for the woman. You have to watch Proteins, carbs, fats, your meds, your Calcium, your Vitamins, your liquids... Seriously, how is that easy? Plus, the actual fact that they all but TAKE YOUR STOMACH OUT. When I hear people say I took the easy way out (and so far no unsuspecting soul has) I'm going to tell them that they don't have a clue as to what they're talking about and my mama told me better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool that to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

The dr told me that the pill wouldn't work any more for me because it would go through my system too fast. They told us to use other means. I like the regulation of the pill and was wondering what you guys were doing for BC. Thanks.

I bought myself a good old fashioned panty girdle sort of thing... It went from right under my breasts down into a pair of underpants... Very handy and helped with the pain a lot... Highly recommend one...

My husband is considering a vasectomy an I'm completely ok with that as I'm 39 and he's 46. I just like the 3 weeks off/1 week on predictability of the pill. I was thinking the shot maybe? Not sure...

I didn't have this myself but my mom did. Supposedly it's caused by the angle they have your neck in during surgery. Not sure though. Hope you feel better!
