Talking about our goal weights and the like made me think about mine. I am 5'5" and started at 240# and have a goal in my mind of 140# BUT I question it because I have never been that weight that I can ever remember. And when I was that weight I was not physically fit. In high school I weighed 180# so it was at a time before I was finished growing even. So my goal is going to be at the time when I feel good in my skin and feel good looking into the mirror. I would like to be able to be able to wear a size 6 or 8 just depending on my body. I can not ever say what made that size my goal other than the fact I have never been there in my life.

Everyone here impresses me so much with the improvement that we have made in the last 2+ months. Not that long ago we would have never dreamed that we could have gotten as far as we have! Cudos to each and everyone here who has sweated and worked to reach that extra mile. I golfed for 2 hours today with my kids and I have never set foot on a course before but we had so much fun together. So my total so far to date is 300 minutes.

60 minutes for today total for August 180min
-
Congrats to MM for making her goal for July!! I made 300 of my 480 minutes in July so I am going to stay with that goal for August. So far I have done 120 minutes in August. But that is going to go up by 60 minutes in about an hour cause I am off to water aerobics.

Any Junk Food Junkies care go join me?

I am a sweetaholic without a dought. If it is cake, cookies, candy, or pop it is going to drive me crazy. Boo Boo where do you find the triple threat? It would be a perfect replacement for the snacks. I did find that if I am with someone and I wanted a sweet snack I would split it with them. Half a candy bar or dessert is better than the whole thing by far. -
Here is too a new month, congrats to MM for making her goal!!! I made 300 of my 480 goal, so not wonderful but so much better than I would have ever done before the band. I am going to keep my goal the same for August and to date I have 120 minutes done for the month and I am going to water aerobics to night so I will have another 60 minutes to add to my total by tonight. We will succeed, we will be "LOSERS"

I was banded June 19 and am down 23# so far and have dropped from a 22 to an 18/20 depending on how they are made. I have not had too much trouble with food choices for the most part. The week of my time of month was very tough though. I could have ate anything that did not eat me first. I try to go to water aerobics 2 or 3 times a week and I also walk when I get the chance, 2.5 miles 1 or 2x a week. I am going in on Monday to get my second fill and I hope that I get closer to the restriction I am hoping for. I do tend to get hungry mid afternoon, I really notice it if I am not busy. I am not tight now and I found that the only thing I have had trouble with is a big hotdog or hamburger bun. Every one is doing so great, keep it rocking!

Just stopping in to say hi to everyone. I did get surgery done on June 19th at Scottsbluff and am down 19# so far!! I can not believe how much better I feel already being down the small fraction of weight I am so far. Don't get me wrong the 19# is a major step but I forget how soon you start to feel better when the weight comes off. And just knowing that this time is not going to be the yo-yo of loosing and then gaining yet again is such a great feeling. Changing not just the bad habits but my outlook on life is wonderful. :whoo:

:clap2: Well so far for the month I am at 300 mins of my 480 I need to reach my goal. I do love being able to go to water arobics!!! That is the best part of my day. Or at least until my DH gets home:embarassed:. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

What a great way to stay on track! My goal is 4x a week for at least 30min for a total of 480 minutes. Normally I walk 2.5 miles or I do water arobics but they normally take 1 hour but I am not always able to do them everyday. Wishing everyone a great month!

tea tree oil will help speed healing and reduce the scar that you will end up with. You should be able to find some at walmart but I get mine from a specialized company.

Its so true, we all have so much to celebrate this year. Holds an extra special meaning for me now.

Could you please add me too on June 19th? Greatly appreciated for doing this for us!!

On the road home (4+hours) I wore a long shorts set without a bra. I went about 2 or 3 days before I put my bra back on. I did not want to cause any extra irritation to my staples.

Bandster Hell: Anyone in Heaven?
farmmomto2 replied to pandagirl's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I had my surgery on 6-19-07 and so far I have not had to much of the normal bandster hell. I find that the "hunger" I have had to battle is from habit. Setting down to watch tv and wanting to grab the sunflower seeds to munch on, wanting to have a hand full of snack crackers, etc. But when I take a minute to think about what it is I am doing I find that I really am not hungry at all just a bad habit I have to learn to control. The same as I approached learning not to drink when I am eating a meal. Hope that helps some. -
Thought I would say hi to all, I am in the southwest corner of the state close to the Kansas and Colorado borders. I have not had surgery yet, I have my insurance approvial and am putting my deposit together right now to secure my date. I will be going to Scottsbluff for the surgery. Happy May Day to all.
