Depends. My Insurance company did not require a 6 or 3 mo. period. In my case it was just a matter of how quickly I got all my testing done. You dont want to miss any appointments so it doesnt push anything back. I started the process at the end of June and my surgery is Oct 2. I could have had it on Sep 17th but I had a prior appointment for that date. Hope that helps.

I too have challenges with my youngest and the hardest part was realizing that he is grown and allowing him to make his own mistakes and allowing myself to now LIVE for me! Have a wellness check done and let go and focus on your new journey for your life. I do wish you and your daughter well.

Im curious to know how much weight you lost on your pre-op diet? My doctor has me on a two week but I was thinking about maximizing it with a three or four week. I dont have to lose a percentage or a set amount of pounds I was told it was just to shrink my liver.

sep 1st!! I am soooo excited today!!! Oct 2nd will be here in no time. In my 40 years I have went from size 24 to 16 then 18 to 10 then 22 to 12 and 18 to 12. I am sooooo looking forward to this tool to keep it off!!!! The count down begins!!!! YAY!!!!!

Hello I am having my gastric sleeve on Oct 2, I am only taking 11 days of vacation one being the day before to get ready. I can take a medical leave but dont want it to seem suspect because I am choosing to keep my choice private. Therefore, I decided to take a vacation of 11 days to heal. I am a very strong individual and can take pain, am I doing myself an unjust by just taking a vacation verses a leave? I work in a sale phone store which requires no lifting but a lot of standing and some walking.
