  2. Had my surgery on Oct 2nd. I must admit I didn't expect my pain to be that extreme. been home since Thursday. I startled walking in the. hospital about 10 hours after surgery. I am up in about all day and have to remind myself to take it easy. At the hospital I couldnt drink anything I can now get down at least half of my 64 oz of liquid.
  3. I think you have done a great job! I think your surgeon may have been pulling your leg. At your height and weight I dont kniw where 40 pounds came from. from what I read about 20-25 ponds have been tge average for the first month.

  5. In 3 more hours I will be going in for my sleeve. I'm not scared at all. I AM READY. I know that this is just the beginning of a new lifelong journey. I kept hearing the hardest part was the pre op diet. Mine was one week of protein and water and I breezed through that with no cheating. I hope that's no indication that I havent had my "hard part" yet. Well God is with me. I see you guys on the losers side!!

    This Is It! Surgery Day!

Surgery went well they said. I stayed in the bed all day and night in excruciating pain. I guess I am one that can not take pain. The nausea was extremely bad also. Today is day two in the hospital and I will probably go home tomorrow or friday. Im still taking pain meds and meds for the nausea every 4 hours but I feel its getting better.
  7. My surgery is tomorrow too, I'm not nervous or excited. Im just ready to get it on. Wishing you the best.
  8. Okay, so it has been a long Journey for me but I'm almost there. I chose to take this Journey alone being that I am a loner by nature. I think I prepped my house well for my trip to the hospital. I've purchased enough to get me to at least 3 months post op. I read everything and got everything I could think of under the sun to help me. Did everything the Dr and NUT ordered. Went to tell my siblings and Boys know of my surgery. The ONLY thing left is I have nobody to pick me up from the hospital and no one to watch my dogs. So now I am no longer excited I am not scared, I just fill NUMB.... Now I KNOW everyone is used to me handling everything by myself, but I feel I shouldnt have to ask. I will figure something out, I always do. #Ramble

I KNOW its water but wouldnt it be lovely if I kept loosing like this for the remainder of my pre op? : ) Not starving yet but my stomach growls all the time.

    Dr. Cahill In Dyer, Indiana?

yep, days 1-14 (clear liquid diet) week 3-8 (Protein drinks and Vitamins) week 9 (full liquid/Blenderized and FINALLY week 10 (soft to regular foods). I suppose if Dr. Cahill extended the liquid portion it must be for a good reason. oh well...
