I have such GREAT news my doc's office called me and moved my appointment up to aug 28th to meet with my surgeon to set a date for the band removal and sleeve !! I am soooo excited today i have vomited everything I ate and so there for drinking tea is NOT so filling

I had to do an upper GI and not drinking fizzy anything in 21 months was VERY hard..the white chunky stuff came right back out.. and then he laid me flat on belly and gave me thin stuff thru a straw and that came right out !! i have been unfilled for 3 months and the doc who was doing this ( not my doc) said well its all in your head.. you trained your brain to not want you to swallow things and there for you failed the band... i was so MAD !! i didnt want to do a 2nd wls but i cant keep throwing up and slimming .. soup dosnt want to go down..i cant wait for sept !!!

I was wondering the same thing.. I had the band done dec 13th 2010 and have lost 70 lbs in the 18 months i was happy 70 lbs thinner but now i am slimming after everything i eat i choke and vomit. they gave me a total unfill 2 months ago and i have gained 10 lbs and still coke slime and vomit i go sept 5th to get my sleeve date

Funny, I went to the doc yesterday and said ok doc I am ready now for the sleeve.. and he said ok... I agree. I have a psych appointment sent for Monday a upper GI for Tuesday and cardiologist for the 28th i go back on Sept 5th for the surgery date . they called me today and said they sent the letter to the insurance.... i went with the band because i was scared of leakage but this band is the death of me !! i slime and choke over everything and my band has been unfilled for 2 months !! so heres hoping to an easier time

Hi, I still have my band.. I go tomorrow to talk to my doc about getting it out and getting sleeved !! i cant eat meat.. i choke for hrs sometimes days before i can get it to come back out.. i HATE this band...I have lost 67 lbs but its not how I should be living. I Dont eat out because of this and I dont eat over other peoples houses ... why did all of you have it taken out ?? Amy

Hello my name is Amy and i had the band put in dec 13th 2010. I lost 30 lbs not all that great but allot of it is my fault. i cant eat almost anything so its slider foods. I have had a total unfill and still no meat. i will choke on meat for hrs. i have noticed its getting worse. I go back on the 9th and i am going to talk to him but i did read that some people have had problems with the sleeve and meat ..... any help any stories you have PLEASE.... is it worth it to get this band out ?? i am happy with the 30 lbs my bp is normal and I work out when i dont work. i just thought 2 years in I would be out of the 200's. some people have lost 100 lbs in 6 months ?! but every journey is different Thank you amy also email is amyloveslou@yahoo.com...
