I live in Broward county...Pembroke Pines ...You? I wear shorts year round and love that I am able to do that...I have not hit the stores due to that I have a difficult time walking due to the weight...but once it starts coming off I will be running to them!!!!!!!

I did hear from the doctor and he told me to increase my sugar intake!!! Woke up this morning and my sugar was 49 and I am having coffee (decaf) with some sugar and the rest splenda.

I do know how to sew too....but I do not have the time nor the machine that will handle very thick materials...I bought a cheapo machine while waiting for the arrival of my daughter and I did sew most of her birth clothes but since she came home almost 6 years ago I do not even have the time to think let alone sew...plus working in Real Estate on top of that and owning my own Scrapbooking embellishment company keeps me way too busy to even start a project. On the good end of things my husband is getting a littlle inheritance from his grandmother and he is giving me some of the money to go shopping for clothes.

Horrible!!! I do good most of the day and than by night I am eating something solid....very stressful....but I have one more week and really need to buckle down...I realize where I make my errors....I forget to have a shake at dinner time and end up eating cause I am starving by 9ish...I hear he is an awesome doctor...my name is Rose by the way.

I am going to CC next week on Tuesday to be sleeved by Dr. Szomstein. I live west Pembroke Pines....

I did waiting for call back....unfortunately we are also going through Issac's Storm.

I am pre-op that is why I am wondering....been good for 2 days and do not want to mess up again.

:blink: Did anyone stop pooping on the pre-op diet?? Is it normal?? Is this the goal of pre-op diet?? Sorry about being a bit indiscreet... :rolleyes:

I feel your pain !!!! Hubby and daughter brought home McDonald's for breakfast and daughter goes to me...Mommy I can not eat the sausage do you want it???? ARRRGGGG my favorite. I said no throw it out and was proud of myself...living in the moment only and taking it one day at a time....I got 8 more days of the pre-op liquids!!!!!!

I am on day 6 and I think I was good only 1 day....I was put on 2 different antibiotics and effects went on for a few days after taking them so I did eat some toast and banana to calm things down...the other day I ate mainly salads and fruit. But I am trying to stay strong...so it is not only you. I am taking it one day at a time and praying for the best. Good Luck, Rose

Surgery is scheduled for September 4th....I started pre-op liquids and shakes and done ok on first day....but second day I had raging headache and felt so much hunger pains...i caved in and ate. I am eating salads (lettuce only with little dressing) and some carbs...yesterday I broke down again and had a few ounces of turkey with dressing and mashed taters (Boston Market larger platter shared 3 ways)...I am trying to stay on track today but am scared that I might cave in again....I have removed myself from situations where I might get tempted and I save a protein shake for my night time snacking....will this affect my surgery date? I am afraid of telling the doctor...also one of my friends said she ate all the way up to the surgery and nothing happened (wish she never told me this....). I am scared that I will continue to eat and than not be able to have the surgery....any input on how I can stop this eating!!?? TIA

Thanks ALL...Glad I was told about this forum...feeling better. I do have a doctor's appt for the 30th and will say the truth....I knew this was not going to be easy....Yes I also have a MAJOR food addiction.....and it was always my comfort!! I am going to take it one day at a time.

Okay I was suppose to quit 2 weeks ago....Now I am 2 weeks pre-op and still smoking....Yes I did cut down to half of amount I use to smoke but am afraid that I won't quit or stop for the time being....in all honesty I love to smoke!!! I have heard every lecture why I should quit blah blah blah...goes in one ear out the other!! I know it is bad for me and all...Now with the fast that is about to begin today not sure I can stop now....PLEASE DO NOT BE MEAN TO ME....I am emotional as it is!!!!
