I will bet that you've lost more than 110; you've got quite a bit of muscle in its place. Fantastic job! -
This May Be Inappropriate, Forgive Me :)
cherrybombknits replied to futureskinnypants's topic in The Gals' Room
I brought up the possible changes to the love shack with hubby dearest, but offered up the possibility of a slave Leia costume once I hit goal. I think we'll be fine -
I went to Marukai looking for little bento boxes and found egg molds. You put a still-warm hard-boiled egg in the mold and pop it into cold Water. Once it settles you pop out the egg and BAM, it's shaped like a fish! You can find all sorts of shapes on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002TZ04JG

Is It Ok To Eat Doritos After Being Sleeved ?
cherrybombknits replied to shannonbcaldwell's topic in Food and Nutrition
Does it come with fudge on top? I'm not getting off the couch unless there's hot fudge involved. -
I actually woke up during my first surgery (tonsilectomy). I didn't feel any pain, I just remember opening my eyes and looking around a bit. The doctors freaked and put me back under, but I make sure to meet with the anesthologist beforehand and tell them to keep a good eye on me. I also tend to have lengthy conversations while I'm coming out of it, but I never remember what I said. Last surgery I spent an hour post-op explaining how fantastic my husband is to the nurses. He was very well received in recovery lol.

Pre Op Liquid Phase
cherrybombknits replied to Justine13's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
You can do it Justine13! “Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right. To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires some of the same courage that a soldier needs. Peace has its victories, but it takes brave men and women to win them.” William Shakespeare famous quote -

Yay, sleeve sisters! I'm actually a little stunned, don't know how to feel. Mostly excited, race you to goal! -
Approval Granted: Operation "goodbye Lard Butt" Is A Go
cherrybombknits posted a topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I just received word that insurance has approved my surgery. I will be going in October 4th and have already lost 8 lbs. It doesn't seem like much, but I think I'm trading fat for muscle. I was really excited and wanted to share the news. -
Weight Loss Before Insurance Approval?
cherrybombknits replied to Jessielynn's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My paperwork to insurance was based on my initial consultation weight, and I was approved today. When did you do all your tests? I guess it would be based on your weight at the time your bloodwork and other hoop-jumping was done. Good luck! -

Dr Nikita Tihonov At Tri City Regional
cherrybombknits posted a topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
My oncologist highly recommended me to the NEW Program in Newport Beach, CA. I am pretty comfortable with Dr Tihonov doing the surgery although I found almost nothing on Google about him. Tri City Regional in Hawaiian Gardens sounds a little scary if the Yelp reviews are true... Any sleevers out there with first-hand experience to share? -
One Month Until The Beginning Of My New Life:)
cherrybombknits replied to SkinnyMinnie2Be's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Congratulations! Today is my one-month countdown date and I am so nervous/excited/scared. We're all rooting for you! -
I got on a power plate at the county fair this year. The shaking hurt my back and knees without anything cut up on me. I have to admit it seemed like a gimmick to me, but in any case I wouldn't try it until you are absolutely healed up.

Hey everyone! I was under the impression that walking IS exercise. Be kind to yourselves, no one is "just" walking.

Just Braggin' - Got Me A New Bicycle!
cherrybombknits replied to Rootman's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Yay for bikes! I did bike in a skirt and nylons for my commute, the girl bike "dip" wasn't that helpful. I've chewed through so many bikes in the last few years, but this thread has inspired me to start looking for my next baby. Yay for quad skates too! Am I the only person who aspires to join a roller derby team? -

cherrybombknits replied to cherrybombknits's topic in Weight Loss Surgeons & Hospitals
Thanks for the inside scoop anonteensleeve! I feel much better about the facility. How are you doing? -
My hubby was "confused" at one point as well. Counselling was the best thing we could have done. Having an outside ear to help mediate issues is really helpful. Also, sometimes explaining your beliefs to a third peson helps you realize how rediculous they are.

What's Your Favorite Shaper Brand And Style?
cherrybombknits replied to Marty McSkinnystein's topic in The Gals' Room
Barely There is the most comfortable shapewear I've ever worn. I have a problem with "bloomers" not being long enough in the leg or scooching up. Not with the BT's. -
