  1. I am 20 days out today and feeling mostly normal. Struggling to get in more than 500 calories a day. My dr's office's plan is centered around the shakes. Of course I cannot stand them, but still get plenty of protien in. Haven't lost a ton of weight post-op but my pants are looser and my dresses are longer (less badonk to go over). I found out that tomatoes make me feel ill, otherwise the mushies phase is going well. Anyone going through the early hard bits, it gets better really fast. Hang in there Octosleevers!

    Bad Multivitamin!

The Bariatric Advantage chewables. I'm three weeks out and that's the closest I've gotten to vomiting.

    Mushy Protein Foods

I know :-( I only lost two pounds this week and have been really tired. I just can't get any more in.
  4. I'm not saying health shouldn't be out main focus, but who wouldn't want to feel prettier/more handsome? There nothing wrong with a double-win.
  5. lol I am having my husband burp me too. Feels soooo much better afterwards.
  6. I workout on the Wii Fit and it is hard because it wants you to weigh in every day. Hubby and I weigh in together on Sunday mornings, keeps me honest.

    October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves

My hot flashes have decreased as well. I am a week and a half post-op haven't noticed one in days.
  11. I am a little over a week post-op and craving meat like mad! I'm getting the required protein in every day, but some dead animal just sounds soooo good.

    Non Food Rewards

I wanted a proper pair of roller skates for a mini-goal reward, but with my osteopenia being on the roller derby team almost guarantees broken bones I think I will settle on boots for the winter if my calves will fit.
  14. In case anyone thinks stalls only happen to us, my hubby is losing weight "the old-fashioned way" and has hit his first stall. After two months and 37 lbs he's been stalled for two weeks. I'm encouraging him to add more protien and strength training, just like we would

One of my best friends and, quite honestly, one of the finest people I have ever met, is a Jew for Jesus. Classifications don't make you a decent human being, it's up to you. That being said, being able to sleep in on Sundays has contributed to my being a reasonably decent person.

    October Sleevers! Announce Yourselves

I'm thankful that everyone has had a mostly smooth road so far. Hope the second-half octo-sleevers a safe journey to the losers bench!
  17. I was "allowed" on the scale today and I am down 5 pounds, 32.4 since 1st consultation. Most of it was pre-op, but for the first time I know those pounds WILL NOT BE BACK! I haven't been this weight since before I was diagnosed with cancer. Hoping to see One-derland for Christmas. **happy dancings**
  18. Glad everything is going so smoothly and you have help! I don't necessarily want to eat the pizza, but I DO want to smell it.

    Back To Work

I work from home, so I took vacation Thursday (surgery) and Friday. Came home Saturday and back to work on Monday. If I were to do it again I would have taken a week off. I was skatter-brained most of the week and may have drifted off during a conference call.

    My Fitness Pal Buddies

I'm cherrybombknits if anyone wants to keep me in line.
  21. I've also joined the hubby-took-the-scale party.
  22. My pre- & post-op diet had to be bought from my surgeon's office for nearly $500. That might have something to do with it. During my pre-op diet I had three "cheat" bites. A tiny morsel of lamb, a teeny bit of steak, and a nibble of turkey. I think it kept me feeling human.
