Yep, I Overdid It... Lesson Learned!
cherrybombknits replied to imlosingit's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Through a lot of trial and error I've found that 2-2.5 ounces is my limit. I have to weigh everything out because I can't eyeball it yet. -
Nsv: I Hadnt Seen The 250's In 20 Years!

We're so proud of you! And just think, in 10 lbs you'll never see the 250's again! -
Confuse Should We Snack Or Not Snack In Between The Three Hour Period?
cherrybombknits replied to Ms.Rosie's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm not familiar with the 3-hour thing. I eat 2.5-3 oz when I am hungry (usually 3-4 times a day). One of my big challenges pre-op was making sure I ate when I was only hungry instead of waiting until I was ravenous. Then I would binge, no good. -

Good luck! -
A couple of my incision sites are kinda bumpy, so I was rubbing the one on my left side absentmindedly. I swear I felt a "pop" on the inside, like a pimple sorta. Now my left side hurts. The incision line isn't discolored at all, if fact it's flat now. I don't want to call my sugeons' office without a fever or something (they are a pain), but I am freaking out a little. Sleeved 10/4/12.

Felt A "pop" - Gross
cherrybombknits replied to cherrybombknits's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank you everyone. It already feels better, just a little tender. I will keep an eye on it and report any further weirdness. -
Welcome to the loser's bench!

Skin Tiightening Procedures? What Non Surgical Works?
cherrybombknits replied to mommy794's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I will be getting a wrap before a family reunion in about a month, but I don't care if it only lasts a few days. I just want to feel super-cute while I'm there. -
32 lbs in one month? Work it you scarless wonder!
-
My master plan is to make this a liveable lifestyle change. Eating only twice a day and working out an hour every day may give you results, but not everyone can sustain that long-term. The sleeve is our tool, ultimately we need to make sure we use it in the right way for us.

Yeesh! I'd be happy if I lose 20 lbs by then. I'm not sure these surgeons know what they are talking about. At my 1 week f/u my surgeon bitched me out for not going to the gym?!? A lot of us are emotional eaters; the extra judgements and stress aren't helpful.

Junk Food. Why?
cherrybombknits replied to SleeveShelly's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
A packet of pretzel M&M's and I had a staredown last night at the drugstore checkout stand. I won, but it wasn't easy. I miss crunchy foods! -
Post Op Octosleevers 2012. Welcome To The Losers Bench!

Your sister is right. Keep up the good work! -
Another thing to add: make sure you have an adequate cool-down period. I doubled my cool-down from 5 to 10 minutes walking last night and woke up with much less soreness.

I love pickles, why haven't I wanted any yet? All this pickle talk is making me wistful, but not hungry. -

Going To The Toilet...?

I take some sugar-free fiber chewables every few days to keep things moving. -
The common belief is that it will introduce more air into your itty bitty stomach. I feel like I drank more when I could use my camelback bottle. Regular water bottles just aren't the same.

*I still overeat at parties. *I advanced my diet to real food weeks before schedule with few ill affects so far. *I don't know what I am going to do while my water aerobics class is on hiatus over the holidays. * I tell people that "I had a biopsy and they took out part of my stomach". *I can see and feel that I'm thinner, but I don't feel any thinner. -

cherrybombknits replied to cherrybombknits's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Thank you! The jeans kept folding and slipping under the belt, I may have to just give up on that pair. Still luv the belt. -
We were walking around today and my jeans kept slipping. I decided to buy the sparkliest belt I could find to celebrate.

Article: Technology Helps With Fitness Goals
cherrybombknits replied to COsleeveDude's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Right now I am using MFP to track my food/protein/water and Endomundo Pro for my interval runs (c25k style). Everything is on my phone, including VST. Couldn't do this without the technological support.
