For Those Who Got To Eat Soft Foods Soon Out
Ljp replied to Kiki Von Moonshine's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I have noticed on here & searching the net that each dr. Has their own preference on what their patient can have. My dr. Put me on liquids for 3wks then start adding soft foods, which is what I hv been trying. If i can tolerate it, he said it was fine. -
Thank you guys for all the information. I appreciate it very much.

I have a hard with liquids but I xan do this very good. 1/2 yoplait light strawberry (any flavor will work) pineapple juice (less than 1/4, it really dowsnt take much 1/2 cup of ice Put all in blender, pulse it. Awesome drink to get fluids in you. Would love more liquid recipes.

I appreciate your update. My doctor is the one tht said it ws ok & also gave me juice in the hosp. I didnt however realize abt the Greek yogurt until reading in the forums so, im for sure going to try tht. I hv been doing great, but fluids are the hardest to get dwn. I knw im not getting enough protien. I havent found a protein drink i can intake yet.

I actually use a whole yoplait but ot does make a lot.

Very sry you are going thru this & will be praying for you. I knw it must be hard but dont get frustrated, you will loose. Remember for just a normal surgery, it takes time before your stomach can heal & intake food so with your complications, it may take more time for adjustment. Keep your head up. -
I am 3 weeks out. I had my surgery on July 16. I weighed twice once a week & the scale never moved. I weighed again & had lost abt 10 lbs. I knw tht its impossible not to loose weight w the amt of food im eating. So dont get discourged, it will come up. Inches are coming off, i can tell in my clothes.
