Do the best you can. Everyone's pouch has it's own unique preferences, lol! Our pouches are or can be quite temperamental. This is a one day at a time journey. The denser the protein the fuller you'll feel and quicker. If a particular food doesn't agree with you right now, leave it alone for a couple of weeks. Even with me, 17 months out, there are days my pouch is stubborn and I have to really push myself to try to get close to my calorie intake. Other days, no problem whatsoever. It's still early for you. So, don't worry. You've got a whole community here to support you. As always, if your concerns increase, call you surgeon's office.

Hi Madelyn! Call your surgeon's office first and see if they have meetings. If they don't, your welcome to attend the meetings at Buffalo General Hospital that meet the 3rd Wednesday of every month, 5:30-7:30-7pm, 1st floor, "Doctors Dining Room" in the cafeteria on the 1st floor. Congratulations on your progress:)

If you already started the process, completed the requirements, I don't see how IH "new policy" would apply to members midstream??? I think IH is pulling a fast one, @QueenCityGirl. SMH!

I have Community Blue. Even though there was documented proof of other weight loss attempts, I was required to lose @ least 5% of my tbw. That was 20 lbs.. They (insurance) definitely wanted to see how commited I was.

Another NSV for me. I sang with my workshop choir again, in concert yesterday for the first time in four years! It felt so good!!! I'm still trying to get use to people not recognizing me, lol!!! I guess that's a good thing.
