I personally spoke to my pcp before surgery. She was on board for my 3 month followup also went to her at 1 month out to ensure incisions were healing correctly. I recall receiving when a follow up visit with pcp should be done in the packet I had received after surgery.

  6. I just wanted to say that I am 4 months out today and just so excited. My body is changing and sometimes it makes me laugh to know that I am supposed to feel the bones in my body lol. When I lay down or when I shower I am like " oh wow I have a collar bone, wow this is a hip bone.. oh wait this is an elbow and knee bones really?! haha you all know what I am talking about. I have never regreted the surgery although in the begining it was a bit tough but now its not bad at all. Eating and drinking feel like a chore (never thought I would say that) but I am doing great. I am learning my body and how to work along with my sleeve. The only thing I have left to do is join a gym.. I have been saying for a while I even have passes for a month of kickboxing so I need to get my behind in gear with that. Good luck to everyone that is just starting on this journey and congrats to all that have already started on this journey!! My highest wieght was 303lbs in July Surgery weight was 282lbs Nov 8, 2012 4 months out I am 224 lbs Mar 8, 2013 I am attaching a photo of the biggest me and then a pic from about 2 weeks ago.

  11. The number is 888-748-8785 just tell your family to be persistant if someone gives them a hard time about patching them through. When my mother called it took her two times the first time, each time thereafter she had no issues calling my room.

    What to bring to Tijuana?!?

I also recommend bringing neosporin and an antiseptic spray so you are able to care for your incisions while back at the hotel. I went through Ready4Achange and they provided tape and gauze. I wasn't too bored they have a tv and some American shows that is what I did the when I wasn't walking

I also had no additional charges - I went through Ready4AChange

    Valentine's Day Challenge 2013

I thought I was shooting a bit high but I think it really may happen. I just weighed this morning and I am down to 239 so I have 9 pounds to loose between now and Valentines day!! YAY!!! I am just so excited to be in the 230's right now lol C'mon everyone we can do this!!!
  16. Awe, I am glad to hear you are doing great. I had the same problem with the IV, they had to put it in when I was in the OR. I am loving the updates, keep them coming Only thing that is weird is my sister and I were both able to use the wifi at the Marriott without extra charge. Also, when ordering I think if Mom mentions you guys are with Ready4Achange there is a 15 or 20% discount I think. I recall my sister mentioning something like that just know there is a discount.. I was sleeved on 11/8 so I don't think it would have changed. Wishing you a speedy recovery!
  17. You're doing great!!! Awesome

    Incisions

I am a little over 2 months out and as others have mentioned yeah, it looks like they are going to scar but the incisions aren't that huge which is great. I put cocobutter and vitamin E on them (alternate) it helping a bit

    Dr. Fernando Garcia

That is great!!! I wish you both the best and also a speedy recovery. After surgery I didn't really have any pain other then gas pain up in my shoulder that I was able to walk off. I actually eventually asked the nurses to stop giving me the pain meds not only because I didn't need them they were also making me sick. I hope you both do not feel much pain at all. As you already know remember, walk walk walk. please keep us updated if/when you can.

The way I did it was 3 days before surgery I was all clear liquids and on first night of clear liquids that is when I took the laxative. I also didn't follow the pre-op to a t, I started just liquids a bit before surgery. It does sound like its 3 days of clear liquids but I see how the wording gets confusing.
