I'll be at the support group meeting tonight if anyone wants to sit with me!! I'll be there by 6:30pm to pee and then weigh in...hehehe:whoo:

OK.... I think maybe just maybe I've hit my sweet spot... but I'm tighter in the mornings, which I hear is totally normal. Since my 5th fill on Monday I've been starting my day with a warm latte... followed by a South Beach bar. I used to have carnation instant Breakfast, but now the cold milk just does not work. Q: What do others with good restriction and also being tighter only in the mornings eat for breakfast? I do fine with solid foods for lunch & dinner, it's just mornings...

Hey, anyone else planning on WALKING the 1/2 Seattle Marathon on Nov 25th?? http://www.seattlemarathon.org/ I'm going to be walking it and hubby is running the full this year..... anyone care to join me???:clap2:

PineNut: Oh, I can't beleive I did not see you!! Yeah....Linda is a sweetie... I enjoyed her talk... I have such a hard time hearing Jessie, but that might have been where I was sitting... I was right in the middle last time for that very reason. My Sister is doing well.... she got her 1st fill last Thurs also and is going in again Tues for her 2nd fill. I went back on Monday and got my 2nd one... I now have a total of 5cc in a 10cc band. Congrats on your 28 pounds!! I'm down 24.5 as of this morning...WWoohhoo!! Ekkk 5 pokes!! Really!?!?! Ester did both my fills and my sisters too and she went right too them....no problems. Audry is doing my sisters on Tues. So, you think you found your sweet spot??

I water load (drink lots) up until I'm ready to take my first bite of food... (remove from the table or better yet, don't bring it, if your at a resturant... move it across the table or even ask the server to remove your glass when they bring your plate) then not again until an hour after I've finished eating.

Congrats on your surgery.... it's so exciting... I just LOVE NWWLS and everyone there.... and the magic hands of Dr. Michaelson! hehehe If you have not received the email inviting you to the NWWLS yahoo group, let me know... or email me, I think it's in my profile? I will see if I can "invite you" to the group or not???? Will have to play with it...

I was banded on 6/21 and had the go ahead by Dr. Michaelson to return to low impact cardio kickboxing on 7/19 (4 weeks post op). I just started doing mini crunches on 8/1 (almost 6 weeks post op). And I did LIGHT weights on 7/31.

Hey girl!! I WAS at the SGM on the July 9th.... right in the middle....and split up into "Seattle" when we did that... SEE proof I was there...lol I got my first fill yesturday.... I do feel a little restriction, only because if you recall I had 4 cc's removed the day after surgery because I was so swollen. Well, I now have 3 cc's :clap2: Careful and good luck with your pills.... I will be taking my first pills tonight since my fill... (botine & potasium).... by Flinstones and Calcium are both chewable. See ya on the SGM on the 13th @ 7pm if your gonna be there!:biggrin1:

Hey everyone... :confused: Anyone else going to Support Group @ NWWLS in Everett on Monday, July 9th at 7pm.... ??? If so.... I'll see ya there!! Can't wait... get to weigh in before, :eek:not sure how I feel about that since I'm starting mushies :hungry: today.... I might gain a little?

PineNut.... as I understand it...Dr. Michaelson said there could be 3-4cc at the time of surgery... I guess they prime it with saline and then when they cut the tube that runs to the port to the right length for YOUR body.... the pressure depending on how much fat you have on that the land is around can force some of it out... leaving 3-4cc. I don't know if all lapband surgeries are done that way...or just NWWLS?? I hope I explained that right....if someone knows otherwise, please correct me!:nervous I'm 5-6".... My sister's name is Jamie... but she does not post on any boards.... she is a little more private... I'm hoping to change that She is 5-5" and we were started 1/2 pound apart... she was a 1/2 inch shorter and I was a 1/2 pound more then her... LOL

Oh that is a bummer PineNut that we missed each other....we were even in the parking lot at 2pm walking laps!! LOL When is your next appointment for some thing? Ours is Aug 2nd for possible fill and we will also be there July 9th for the support group meeting at 7pm. Our fill is scheuled with Esther too!! But I KNOW where my port is...since I've already had an UN-fill due to swelling... it is just to the right of where my scar will always be from the incission (sp?) I think the hardest part until I get down in size is to get BOTH my legs lifted off the table during it.... when I had my UN-fill... Dr. Michaelson did it and because I could not lift my legs, he had me do a partial crunch...that seemed to work fine, cuz he got right in and out!! WWoohhhooo!! I'm so glad I read this post from you.... the way you explain things is wonderful.... now I know what to watch for and also what not to freak out about, because I will know it's "normal" I know.....the rain is just crazy....but hey...we may get 90+ on the 4th and NO rain!! :whoo:

PineNut: Yes, I'm in West Seattle (Alki).... after banding I'll be walking on Alki, so if you want to join me! I'm doing ok on the pre-op diet... I'm down 9 pounds since Monday and I still have 6 more days on it..... I'm happy to be under 300 again!! :clap2: Thanks for the advise on not getting hungry!! I just started taking softeners Wed, because it was very hard :huytsao to poop.....took FOREVER!! And I'm not even on pain med yet....EEEkkkkk. I also have IBS so I've shared A LOT of details about body functions on boards!! LOL:biggrin1:
