I took chantix for about a month. I didn't have any problems with it. I eventually forgot to smoke a cig. The hardest part was not smoking in my car. I bought these waterless toothbrush thingys called wisp and when I get in my car I take one out n brush my teeth. That helped me out. It was all about the habit of smoking after I beat the nicotene addiction. Best of luck to you.

I just had my 2nd sleep study last night. I found out after the first sleep study I had severe sleep apnea. This study I slept with a cpap mask and slept a lot better than the 1st. Now just waiting for the results so I can see a pulm. dr.

Where Can I Get Weighed?
williamrjomes2 replied to makemyownluck's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Do you have Bed Bath N Beyond store near you? They have a lot of scales that have high limits. You can also get a 20% coupon online for BBNB. I bought a Biggest Loser scale from them and I weigh 380lbs. Good luck -
what about vanilla flavored chobani? Its not as blah as plain, but doesn't have the fruit on the bottom. just a suggestion

What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
williamrjomes2 replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Don't really have a "final" straw. More a series of events in my life. When i was 17, my mother took my friends and I to six flags. I was able to fit on most rides, but one ride i got in the seat and couldnt buckle the overhead harness. It took 3 workers to get me in the seat. Two of the workers pushed on the overhead thingy while the 3rd worker buckled me in. I held the ride up for a few min. Pretty embarassing moment. But I was 17, i brushed it off and laughed about it. Since that day I have yet to attempt to go on any rides. Now that I have a 5 month old daughter, I would love to take her on roller coasters/rides, when old enough. I pretty much wanna be able to run around the yard with her and not be in pain(4 herniated disc) or sweating like a beast. I wanna be able to buy clothes in the mall, instead of shopping at certain stores because they have a " Big n Tall" section. I wanna be able to sit in a booth at a resturaunt with out the table in my gut. I want a healthy lifestyle for my family. My cholesterol has been creeping up. Both parents are diabetic, which im not YET. Blood pressure is still normal. I'm not on any medications. I wanna take control of this "disease" before it gets outta control. Sorry for the rant. So many other things I miss doing. -
Hey everyone. Been browsing the site for a little bit. Tons of wonderful information. Currently in the process of pre-op testing. I'm a 30 year old male, 6ft.2in. 380lbs(+,-), married,1 child(daughter 5months old). I work as a nurse. I have been cleared by cardio, did the nutrition thing. Had sleep study done and diagnosed with severe sleep apnea. Now i have to go back for a second study and meet with a pulm. dr. Psyc appt is 9/11/12. I would like to have surgery late november, early December. No date set as of today. I've been 300+ lbs for the past 12 years of my life. Tried multiple diets, did the gym thing. Lost a few lbs here gain a few lbs there. Never could keep the weight off. I look forward to losing the weight and keeping it off this time.
