My Surgery Is 12/11 I Have A Question...
jkl94597 replied to mocanitanj's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I felt like I had heartburn and then felt nauseous when they wheeled my bed from recovery to my room. Once I was in my stable bed in my room I went straight to sleep for several hours and felt fine aside from the annoyingly loud nurse who decided to shout at her coworkers in the hallway -
Two Days Post-Op
jkl94597 replied to vanessabalderas's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thanks to everyone for the kind words and positive thoughts. I will say day 3 was a definite turning point for me. I've been able to have applesauce and cream of chicken Soup. No problems with any of it! I'm definitely feeling more human today than I have since my surgery Monday . The swelling in my tummy is starting to o down and the bruising is getting lighter. I'm moving around easier with so much less pain. Just feels like sore muscles at this point. I did get on the scale today and am still 1.5 lbs over where I was on day f surety but I'm not concerned. With all the fluids they filled me with and all the liquids I've been drinking the past 3 days I have no doubt this is normal For anyone going into the surgery or just coming out, know that it DOES get better and you will feel better. It just takes a few days for your body and mind to adjust Thank you all again for helping me though he tough days -
Bay Area here. Sleeved 11/26 at Kaiser Richmond by Dr Fisher Everyday is getting easier . First day today in soft foods (applesauce) and so far so good!

I'm also 2 days post op and am not sure how I feel at this point. I'm happy to be home but feeling emotional and unsure. I've been able to get my Water in and sugar free Popsicles. No nausea or vomiting at all. Can keep all the meds down. I'm site but not in any real pain Not sure why I feel like crying all the time I'm holding on to the fact that everyone says these first days are the worst! Hopefully things only get better from this point on Congrats to everyone on their new sleeve! -

Surgery is scheduled in less than a week and I have a terrible case of the "what ifs"! Not about the surgery but about after and all the changes physically and mentally. So much to think about.... Anyone else experiencing this? Good luck and congrats to all the Novembers!

Missrose I got my surgery date! And it's two weeks from today! I'm excited and nervous at the same time I'm mostly nervous that when I go tomorrow to meet with the case manager I will have gained weight and she will cancel everything! Today I'm doing my lab work and tomorrow I'll be at Kaiser Richmond all day for a class, physical, and meet with case manager. It's all happening so fast!! How was your weekend? How are things going with you? Jules -
Any Bay Area California Sleevers?
jkl94597 replied to Cholula's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Marcia I agree. Only you know what's best for you. Dr Fisher wouldn't have approved you for surgery if he felt it wasn't beneficial to you Don't let your family get you down. Maybe they will come around. And age shouldn't matter! It's about your health. If this is something you feel strongly about doing and feel its the best thing for you and your Dr agrees then you should do what is right for you. I hope you're family can see the benefits and be excited and happy for you Hang in there! Julianne -

Hi Marcia I don't think I've taken that one yet. I had a 2 hour class I had to take before I could get a referral, and then had the 4 hour class where they gave me the binder. Let me know how it is and what it's like I will be at the next support group on Nov 7. I'd love to meet you in person Hope your week is going great so far Jules -
