Wow, congrats your surgery is just around the corner. I live in Escondido and had surgery on 8-14-12 if fact today is one month post op. My doctor is George Mueller out of Sharp's. I hope everything goes smoothly for you. I had no problems at all. Keep in touch .

I'm hungry sometimes I think. My stomach growls and I do take the antacid pills. Had surgery Aug.14th only ate 158 calories yesterday and 50 oz of water. Seems all I do is drink water. 10 more days on full liquid then soft, so maybe it will get better.

That's normal. Had my surgery on Aug.14th and it's funny I wasn't nervous at all. Everything will be great, you will be ok. Try and stay busy that's what I did. My house has never been so clean. Make sure you keep posted how everything turns out. Good luck and sending you best wishes.

Had surgery on Aug. 14th, had insulin day of surgery and next day. On the 16th I am no longer taking the 2000 mg of metformin or the 10mg of glyburide. I had this surgery to get off of meds and I am so grateful that the surgery has surpassed all my expections. I wish you all the luck.

Good luck and I'm sure everything will be great. I am also having my surgery on the 14th. Finished my 2 week pre-op diet today and I have a full liquid diet Monday. What time is your surgery? When all is done make sure you give a update.Wishing you all the best luck.

It's always nice to get out in the fresh air. Good for you resisting that burger. You take care as well and keep me posted on your surgery as well.

Hey ugot2laff that's not to far from my sister at all. Keep up the good work, weekends do seem to be a little harder at controlling the amount of food we eat.

Just wanted to say hello and express how grateful I am that I have found this site. Started the process on May5 and just submitted to insurance last week and I have a surgery date of Aug. 14th. It's awesome knowing there is all this wisdom for me here as I start this journey. Thanks everyone.

I am also scheduled for surgery on Aug.14th at 9:15 in San Diego. I'm so hoping to get my diabetes in remission. We can do this. I'm so ready to make the journey also.

I start my pre op diet on the 30th. Fourteen days of 3 shakes and a small meal. Then day before surgery breakfast then full liquids only after 10am and nothing after 11pm. I plan on staying very busy, maybe clean the house like it's never been cleaned before. I am a little nervous since I don't have the best track record for keeping to a diet. We have to be strong so we have a nice small liver. It's great to hear tips from others about their pre op diets and the struggles they dealt with. All aboard the pre op diet ship,lol.

Your right I need to exercise more. I can come up with many excuses not to. I am forunate to having a pool so I do swim. I agree about the healing aspect of it. It's so great to hear how so many have been able to go off all medication. Grateful to have new friends to share feelings with.Thank all of you, it makes the road easier.

all we can do is stay the couse and try not to fall off the wagon. I know in the end everything always turns out the way it was meant to be. We need to stay in contact with each other. U can email me anytime you feel u need to talk.
