    RHonda First I want to say that I appreciate you doing the hard work for us!!! I'm definatly in!! April is fine for me, it doesn't matter what days or anything, as long as I can request them off from my job 30 days in advance. I'm more than willing to share a room!! Especially if it's going to be that expensive! I've only ever stayed at Riviera and Sahara, and they were like $50 a night. Lol. But, in most cases you get what you pay for! I'll have to start playing at the local KC Harrahs and earn me some points (and hopefully some comp points I can use in Vegas!)

    I was begining to think my restriction was gone - until I ate 1/2 of a crab rangoon that my boss brought in today! OMG. I made it until 3pm before anything got stuck today. I even ate a donut!!! Of course I picked at it for about an hour. Lol. Why is it so quiet here lately?? WAKE UP PEOPLE!!

    So I went out for Greek food today. (Yeah, I eat out a few times a week... I'm not big on cooking.) So I had a few bites of my salad, and about 3 bites of pita bread with hummus. Then I went to the bathroom to PB. THen I ate about 3 bites of chicken off of my gyro. Bah. My friend that I was with was the one that drove me the day I had surgery and he said he felt bad about eating while I couldn't. Have any of your friends/family made a similar comment!? Even my friend Judy that I eat with about once a week has said something very similar. I just laugh it off and tell them that "Hello! THis is what I wanted!!" Lol. I wanted to NOT be able to eat so much, and so I got what I wanted. I wrote this last night too, but again today I was considering canceling my 3rd fill appt on the 14th. I have good restriction now. And I'm going on vacation to Houston on the 20th, so I don't want to be unable to eat anything while I'm there. gah. I should just wait until the time gets closer and see how I feel then. What do you all think?

    I'm here!! Here's a story for you: I think I wrote that I ate Indian food on Friday night? Well, I took the leftovers to work on Saturday and could only eat about 1 cup worth. I took the rest of it to work today and only ate about 3/4 cup... and tossed the rest. I just couldn't do it! There was at least another cup worth of food there... I never used to waste food. I used to be able to eat the whole meal in one sitting. On Sunday for lunch I ate about 5 of my turkey meatballs, they went down very slowly. For dinner that eveing I went to Panera with a friend and ordered the grilled chicken casear salad. I ate the chicken off of it, and a few bites of lettuce over about a 45 minute period and was so stuffed. I threw away more than I ate. Today, I was starving so I went down to the hospital cafeteria and got the 'caregivers special' of 2 eggs, 2 bacon, and 2 toast. I ate about 1/2 of one egg, and 1/2 of one bacon... and then I toook 1 bite of toast and it was PB city! After a few minutes I went back to eating the eggs and bacon. In total, what I kept down, was about 1 egg, and 1 1/2 pieces bacon. I gavethe other toast away. - And best of all... I was eating with a co-worker (after I PB'd, she wasn't in there for that!!!) and she had this huge omlet and toast and she was done with all of that before I even had about 3-4 bites of egg down! THis is GOOD for me cause it shows that I have learned to eat slowly. She and I used to eat together all the time and I'd finish about the same time as her. She has noticed I eat slower... I justtell her I'm trying to be healthier and make better choices and take my time - which is all true. So, that was breakfast, and I already said I had Indian leftovers for lunch, and then for dinner I had about 6 meatballs, but I should have stopped after about 4. I actually stopped to think today about whether or not I should go for my fill on the 14th. Its 3 weeks away, so I'll just have to wait and see how I feel then, but for right now I'm pretty satisfied with my band. I'm very sorry for those who are having trouble, either one way or the other, with their band. I know we all went into this understanding that it was going to be difficult, and knowing that it would take time to work... but that doesn't mean we have to be patient about it! I know that I wish I could have woken up from surgery already 200 pounds thinner!! This morning my weight was down to 348.6! It's been more than a year since I was under 350!!!

    1 lb ground turkey 1 cup dry breadcrumbs 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper 1 tablespoon garlic, minced 1 egg 4 ounces mozzarella cheese pre-heat over to 400F degrees. cut mozzarella cheese into very small cubes. mix breadcrumbs (I use pepperage farms herb crusted stuffing mix) and cayenne pepper in large bowl. add 1 egg and minced garlic to breadcrumbs. fold in ground turkey. may need to add more breadcrumbs to desired texture. roll meatballs to about 1 inch size. make hole in each meatball and add small cube of mozzarella cheese to middle, then pinch meat around and roll to fully cover cheese. Place on lighty greased baking pan. bake at 400F degrees for 15-20 minutes, or until meatballs fully cooked. Lol That was easy!! I post recipes I make up on Recipezaar: Where the World's Recipes Are. so all I had to do was cut/paste! yay!! I'm an amature cook though, so if ya'll see anything that could be changed to improve it, let me know!!

    I have 6cc in my 10cc band, and it's working really well!! I'm amazed actually. Whenever I would read people that said that they couldn't eat this and that, or that 1 cup or less of food was enough I didn't believe it!! Now I do! Yes, I have restriction. It's a bit of a mixed blessing, as I'm still getting used to coping without my dear friend Food. I can still eat ice cream though - which has always been my biggest weakness. I get another fill on Sept 14th, I'm hoping for at least 1cc. I can still over eat - when I can eat. I have problems with things that I shouldn't. Like water. Anyone else slime on water? It's the darndest thing!! I'm sure it's just that I take too big of a gulp or something. And I always drink water ice cold, so I think that contributes to the issue. Tonight I made some mozzarella stuffed meatballs using ground turkey. So yummy - but I only ate 3 1/2 before I couldn't get another bite it. (they were approx 1 inch in size.) And I made about 40 of them, so by golly I'll be eating those tings for a while!!! :hungry: Speaking of not being able to eat things - any one else experiencing food wasting?!?! I hate to let things go to waste, but I cannot eat everything before it goes bad. I've never seen my freezer and fridge so full. I've had to throw out lettuce and tomatoes and peppers and milk and chicken... crazy! I didn't even really go grocery shopping this week, except for milk, eggs, and the ground turkey. I might start saving money now! Haha! Goodnight all!!

    OK. I'm pleased. I have a pair of pants that I've had for maybe 3 years now. When I bought them they were a bit loose, then about a year ago I could barely button them, and now they are back to being a bit loose!!! I wore them last night, and I also wore a shirt I bought about a year ago, but was too tight, so I never wore it before!! It's so nice to be able to have more clothes to chose from - in my own closet! Lol. I have a bunch more I can't wait to get into. I'm also very close to having a BMI under 50!! I can't wait! This is so exciting!!

    Oy. So I PB'd tonight too. I'd done it 2 or 3 times after my first fill, but nothing in a few weeks now. I got my 2nd fill a week ago Thursday and since then I can feel a huge difference when eating, so I've been super careful with bite size and chewing. Well, tonight I went out for Indian food with my super gorgeous thin friend. Lol. She ate way more than I did, which is a first EVER!! I ate about 2 cups worth, rice and chicken with this spicey curry sauce stuff (don't lecture me on rice - it was freaking delicious!) Well... on my last bite, which I had decided even before it went in my mouth that it was the last, got stuck. I knew I was already full, I should have stopped at 1 cup, but no. So I paid the price. I sat there for a few minutes and finally excused myself to the restroom. Once I got in the stall I knew it was coming back up!! Ick!! But I felt MUCH better afterwards and all was well. She didn't even know that I got up to go PB. Lol. So, that was my first public PB. Not as scary as I had anticipated, though I don't want to do it again, so next time I stop when I am no longer hungry!!

    I feel the same way. I'm not getting full either. Mostly my jaw gets so tired from chewing that i give up! And I'm so paranoid about getting something stuck and PBing now that I take the tiniest bites and chew forever. People who don't know I'm banded have noticed that I eat much slower. Its insane. How do I explain that? Lol. But yeh, I don't really get full, just not hungry. Which works for me! YES!! I heated up my Lean Pocket today and it was insanely cold by the time I was 1/2 way through it!!

  23. Yes. Yes I was embarassed. If I ever ate McD's (or any fast food) it was a grilled chicken through the drive through. I always hated what I just 'knew' the lil teenagers were thinking about the fat lady. Ugh. I'm very self conscience though. If I was craving ice cream and didn't need anything else from the grocery store I would still walk through the isle and buy some fruit and veggies and stuff too, just so it didn't look like the fat lady was on an ice cream run. Lol.

    OK, here is my confession (since Stef can confess to her donut!) I started today off good with a protein shake at 7am (still having these 2-4 times a week cause I don't do good just 'eating' protein). THen I didn't get hungry until about noon, so at 1230 I had a chicken & cheese quesadilla Lean Pocket. Of course I got in about 60oz water during the work day... Then I got home. And I ate about 4-5 cookies worth of choc chip cookie dough. WHY?!?! And worse yet - thats ALL I've eaten today!! No veggies, no fruit, very little protein. I'm not hungry and don't want food - and you have no idea how annoyed I am at writing THAT!
