wombat - I'm playing with the same 4-5 pounds. I go from being 305 to like 300.8 or something like that. I can just never see 299... It's pissing me off... and at the same time I know its all the COOKIES I been eating. Ugh. Well, lucky me, woke up with a toothache, so no sweets today! I have 1 week to get to 299. Come heck or high water I WILL get there - even if it's only for one shining moment...

All was well. Got to play with my newest lil nephews! One lil brother and his wife have a 1 1/2 year old and a 4 month old, and my lil sis has a 3 month old. Oh, it was such a joy for this Auntie!! I tried to steal them home with me, but the mommas caught me by the door. Lol. My older brother, his wife and their 3 kids were all at home with the flu. I'll still get to see them next Sunday at my moms, so it'll be OK... They get to open their gifts then. They are the ones that are getting so grown up now. Oldest neice is 11 1/2, nephew is 9 1/2, and the 'baby' girl is 8 now. So yeah... Well, I work in the morning, so goodnight all!! Merry Christmas!

Yes. I was laughing. Here is what the KC weather is right now - Currently: 25°F Wind Chill: 15°F And that isn't too bad. I went to the store and to get gas in my car wearing just a sweatshirt and jeans. Lol. No coat unless its really cold... Of cuorse, that could be why I'm sick now. 3 1/2 week period huh?? I have that about once a year - otherwise I don't have one at all. The docs totally believe it's because of my obesity. They've tossed around the idea of PCOS, which I've considered for a long time... Really, I don't mind not having a period, however I did think it would return with some weightloss! I've lost 79 pounds and still no sign...

Yes, Waht is a nanaimo bar? Is it GOOOOOOOOOOOD?!!? Today I'm making a lil snack dessert I learned about back when I did WW. Only 1 point each - which I could eat a million of. Haha. I don't know what they are called, but you take a bag of small pretzels, a bag of ROlo candys, and a bag of pecan halves. You place a Rolo on top of each pretzel, then put them into the oven for like 2-3 minutes - just enough to make the Rolo mushy - not melted! Then you stick 1/2 of a half pecan intp the top of each mushy ROlo. Let cool. They are kinda lik a 'turtle' with pretzel... you know, with the chocolate, caramel, and pecan. Anyway.... good yummy things. My whole family loves them. Wosrt part is unwrapping each lil ROlo and trying to not eatthem. Ha!! AND RHONDA!! You're quilts are freaking gorgeous!! WHen I get to my goal weight could you give me one for free? Lol. OkOK... I had to try. Seriously, they are awesome!

AppleSmith. I have the digital display. It's just a little extra tech toy to have around so you can check your progress throughout the day. LIke, when I'm at work I can't upload my Bugg to see where I stand with my cals burned and my steps... this way I know. Also at the gym - so I don't have to wait until I get home to find out I missed the mark by about 10 calories or something, ya know? The Bugg works fine without it though. Its just all about personal preference.

so bored... so bored. Where is everyone? Are oyu all out Christmas Shopping - or are you spending time with family? Bah!! I'm cat/apt sitting for a friend... and I'm deathly bored. I'm sitting here watching videos on You Tube trying to teach myself how to crochet - and its going BADLY!. I'm about to string the cat up. Lol. J/K!! I love cats. But seriously, why must he try to attack my yarn right when I think I;m figuring it out!?!?! Sigh...

Kaninag - Thanks for the validation. I'm not saying that I know as much - or at least the same stuff - as an RN. I mean, RNs went to school for a year (or more, depending on the degree) longer than LPNs, but I do know my job. I staill took Anatomy and Physiology, and all those other classes. Basically where they skimp on the LPNs is in OB/Peds... which is fine, cause I don't like parents. Lol. ANYWAY... just frustrating for us. I've been at this hospital for over 4 years now and I love it - I love 99% of the people I work with. Who can say that? Ha! I'd hate to leave, but if they do push us into the medication position, I will leave. I am a NURSE.

Is this a compliment?? OK, I work in a hospital.. fairly good sized, but still small enough that you pretty much know everyone. So, one of the Respiratory Therapist has been gone on Vacation for like a month. (seriously, I need a MONTH long vacay!) And he says to one of the CNAs "Did Suzanne have gastric bypass or something? She looks good." Now, if you'll remember, my surgery is totally on the 'down low' meaning ONLY a few friends know... so NO one at work knows. The CNA told me this and I about fell over! First off, I don't think I look like I had bypass... I'd have lost damn near every pound by now, Lol! I just kinda laughed it off... Would you consider it as a compliment though? Just as that he was noticing my weightloss? I dunno. I'm still VERY uncomfortable with anyone commenting on my loss so far... probably just cause I'm still freaking huge.

YES! After seeing Puddin's pics on the before/after thread I'm totally going for the LBL! (lower body lift) She started at a size 28 (Like me!) and is now a 6!! YOu too huh?? Lots of changes at my work and I'm having sooo much trouble coping cause, as a Taurus, I don't adjust well to change!! OMG. So, Food Hell isn;t just in Kansas City this week huh?? Everyfuckingwhere I turn this week someone else has brought in cookies or candies or cake or donuts. I live in flour/sugar hell. Have any of you heard of or read the book Skinny Bitch? ...let me rant about my job briefly... So, I am an LPN. I work on an Oncology floor. I accept my state mandated limitations such as LPNs cannot hang chemo, blood products, or push IV medications. But we can do dang near everything else. However... The hospital I work for has recently decided that they are going for Magnet status - which means they have alot of work to do. Now, if you don't know much about LPNs... I spent 1 1/2 years in nursing school, learning head to toe assessment and all the other nursing goodies... disease processes, drugs, IVs, etc... So, now that the hospital is going after Magnet - they have decided to have the LPNs become merely medication nurses.. I'm so furious about this! I did not go to nursing school to just pass out pills everyday - I did that in my previous job when I was a *gasp* MED TECH! Ugh. The RNs are mad about it too,m cause with Magnet comes more 'paperwork' for them (though we are fully computerized hospital.) Oh sigh... Soooo glad that I should have my RN by the end of 2008!! I am so going to leave this hospital and go somewhere else! End rant.

Insub - GOOD FOR YOU!!! We're all rooting for ya chica!! Unfortunately, the problem with my job is that I'm a bit too vocal. Lol. Mu mouth gets me into so much trouble. If I disagree with something that my manager is doing, I have to let her, and everyone else know how stupid she is. Ugh... Lots'o crap going on in my hospital right now too... it's annoying...
