What Was Your Final "straw That Broke The Camels Back"
kw2walker replied to bigjoe102's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
That was the first thing to go for me. Then the double chin. -
A double addiction going into this is trouble. Talk with the doctor to get the smokin of anything under control.

Agreed it is important to disclose any drug us to the doctor in order to prevent drug reaction or complication during and after surgery.

Being hydrated help plump the veins as well. As I age I find it harder when I need blood drawn. Thx for the info. -
Throughout the process you are asked if you smoke and if you use drugs. They do blood work throughout this process up to the day of surgery. Your family member needs to stop smoking and doing drugs they run the risk if not having the procedure and causing a health risk to themselves. If the drugs are to help them cope with the anxiety they should let the doctor know. Best of luck to them.

I had surgery on July 22, 2013 and have gone from a 18-20W to a regular and I still have my stomach. Why rush? We did not gain the weight over night it won't come off over night. Feeling sexy is a mind set that shows in the look. Work on your 25 pounds and stay positive.

Caffeine is a diuretic and with us needing to maintain fluids you will pee a lot that is why we need to cut out caffeine.

You can do this! I sip all the time lol I even keep a water bottle in yes in my bed. I fear dehydration. I set mini goals. I sip as soon as my feet hit the floor. It does add up. It also helps keep the pipes moving. I have had to take a stool softener once. That was around week three. Since then all is good. I manage about 50-70 g of protein daily if I miss my mark with food I have a Protein shake. This is a new way of life for us. I find when I try some new food I eat too fast ouch. So I have to get that behavior under control. I have discovered that I can go all day and not eat but what tells me to eat is a raging headache. So I do small things to get me in the game. I pack my lunch. I find easy to eat things. I hope this has helped. I was sleeves July 22, 2013. I have not regrets. I wish I had planned better with my clothes otherwise I love my sleeve.

There are times when I eat, in between bite I pat my chest, that allows the air to work it's way up and out. I feel better too. -
