You're clothes should feel loser...unless you were wearing them baggy...lol
  2. Nope, I went back to my celexa with no problem. I've since cut the dose in half...maybe make sure you're sipping protein drink or something when you take your meds. A little bit of "food" coating your stomach is better than nothing.

    Gallbladder

I'm sorry you're having problems with the gallbladder. I tried to get my doctor to remove mine when he did the sleeve, but he said "no" unless I had a problem with it since not everyone has gallbladder problem after getting sleeved. Good luck with your surgery and I wish you a speedy recovery.

    week long STALLLLLLLL! any advice?

Try drinking even more water and increasing the calories for a day or two to see if you can break the stall...your body may be thinking it's starving and need to horde all the water/fat that it can
  7. I like how you listed the reasons why you like your doctor. I think your post would be more helpful, if you at least provided the name of your doctor. I understand not naming other doctors, but if you are happy with yours, then you ought to share with others. Just as any other type of doctor you may talk about and recommend to a friend. I'm sure there are many that will be going to Mexico for the sleeve and it would be more helpful to them.

    9 day shake diet

You just have to buckle down and push through it. The first 2 days are the hardest. Good luck with it.

6 days post op, I was able to get in my 60grams of protein and get in 8 cups of water a day. i was also walking 10,000 steps a day. good luck to you!

    6 months weight loss

You need to check with your company. Insurance varies based on what plan your company negotiated with the insurance company. good luck with your journey.

    I lost it!

It sounds like you may have Kaiser insurance...if so check and see if they use outside surgeons. If they do, check and see if the surgeons have any requirements. I have Kaiser and found out that the surgeon required that I attend their Weight Loss seminar. I did it while I was still doing the classes with kaiser so that once I got approval from the board, I could make an appt with the surgeon for a date....this saved me a month of waiting for the surgeon's class.
  12. My doctor has me taking vitamins and in another 6 weeks when I am 3 months out, he said he would order blood work to make sure I don't have any deficiencies. If your doctor says you don't need them, then you should ask to have blood work done in about 3 months to make sure you are doing fine and have no deficiencies.

    Emotional eating

I think your idea of starting therapy is a good one and you should do it....good luck.

    Throwing up

Yep, I've thrown up a couple of times as I'm still learning to eat slow and if I don't focus on eating, I forget and eat too fast. I also take papaya enzyme to help with digestion when I feel discomfort or like I'm ready to vomit and it helps.

    Introduction to a New Me!

Welcome and congrats on your decision for the sleeve! I am 6 weeks post-op and am already off my blood pressure meds! This tool really works!

    shrinkage

I'm glad I'm not experiencing any height reduction since I'm only 5' 2.5" ...lol
  17. Are you getting in all your fluids? That can give you the full feeling also. Try measuring out your food for each meal and split it up into two meals. That could help. when you feel discomfort when eating, try taking a papaya enzyme chewable. It helps with digestion and it can be found in the Vitamin section.
  18. Wow! You are doing great! You've already lost over 100 lbs. I agree with the above comments. You're still losing weight so I wouldn't worry about it. My nutritionist told me to weigh myself once a week rather than daily. It's hard to do, but I'm trying it.
  19. Hi, my surgeon didn't say anything about NOT eating nuts, so I've been eating it. I eat raw almonds since it's suppose to be good for you than some other nuts.
  20. Good luck, I hope you have an uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery!
  21. I'm 6 weeks out and can eat a half cup of food. If the food is not as dense then I can eat more. I was eating 3 meals and 3 snacks to make sure I got all my proteins in, but when I saw the nutritionist yesterday, she told me to stick to 3 meals and maybe one snack. She wants me to change my eating habit so when I'm further out and can fit more food in my stomach, I will be use to eating 3 meals and 1 snack. I'm going to try it and see if it works for me.
  22. Regarding hair loss....after washing my hair two days, I clogged the drain, but I still have lots of hair...lol I started taking biotin starting my 3rd week when I was cleared to start vitamins. So who knows, I may have had even more hair loss. Fortunately I have thick hair.

    itchy skin

I started dry brushing my skin prior to showering and then I use vitamin e oil. I find my skin is much smoother and not dry and itchy like it use to be.

    Marketing for surgeon?

It doesn't hurt to ask a bout payment. Although I agree with others that I think this is usually unpaid.
