    half way there

    Congrats!
  4. Have you tried the Unjury Chicken flavor? It tastes just like chicken broth. Something salty instead of sweet. I also had gotten some Unjury unflavored protein powder to add to soups/broths. Good luck with getting your proteins in.

Help! Calories consumed vs calories burned.

Wow, 72 lbs down! That's great! Congrats! I'm not as far out as you, but I take in around 700-1000 calories a day and I usually drink about 12 cups of Water a day...at least 8 a day. My hubby got me the fitbit. So I use it to track my walking and calories intake/outtake. I have it set my goal to burn 2000 calories a day, which I do through walking. I break up my walking but I try to get in at least 12,000 steps a day. Usually it's a couple thousand higher. Occasionally, I take a longer walk and my hit around 20,000 steps. Then I do randomly give myself a day off that I don't exercise...like this month so far I've missed one day and only got in a little over 8,000 steps for the day. For food, I am eating mostly Proteins...cottage cheese, premier Protein shake (one per day), turkey pepperoni, lean meats, bean Soup, other cheeses, and nuts. I do occasionally go off and have a piece of candy or a cookie....it's nothing like in the past where I practically eat the whole package at a sitting. I hope this helps.

    I got a date! May 9th at 5:30am !

Congrats on getting your date! You don't need to tell the boss anything. I just told mine that I would be out for surgery. They're not allowed to ask what type.

    Clothes for hospital and after

Anything loose is great! I didn't bother with clothes for the hospital stay. I was just glad that I had a gown that wrapped all the way around and overlapped some so there was no worries about flashing anyone.

    Behavioral health evaluation

I've read many people have to take a questionnaire. I was already see a psychiatrist for depression and I had a few minutes talk with her and she "cleared" me that I was in a good frame of mind for the surgery. Good luck with your appt!

    A helpful tip

I practice the slow eating and sipping prior to surgery, but it still wasn't enough to slow me down afterwards. I find I have to focus my attention on eating to be able to slow down. If I'm doing something else also, I forget and find myself taking too big of a bite or swallowing without chewing thoroughly. thank goodness for papaya enzyme.

    Can you always feel gas

Are you making sure you take tiny sips and allowing it time to go through your tummy before taking another sip? In the beginning, I would take a tiny sip, then walk around the house, then take another sip. Good luck!
  20. sorry to hear about your complications. I hope you have a speedy recovery and can go home tomorrow.
  21. Makes me think that if you pull on it, it'll unravel everything....lol....I know it's not true, but it was the first thought that came to mind. Hope that pesky thread of yours disappears soon, whether with assistance or naturally.

    hot yoga

I've tried hot yoga in the past and it is great stretching and sweating! The only disadvantage is when the room has carpeting and you're NOT in the first class of the day which means you could me smelling and touching other people's yucchy sweat.
  24. Congrats! You look great!
