    Insurance approval!

Congrats...I remember feeling a sense of relief after going through this long process that I wasn't rejected. Good luck with your surgeries Feb and Paula
  4. You are definitely not alone...so many of the same thoughts go through my head, but I just keep telling myself that I will now have a physical tool to help keep me on track. You won't be able to eat as much in a sitting and you won't have (or a much reduced amount) the grehlin hormones to make you hungry. You can do it...you can do it....you can do it...I'm cheering you on!
  5. It was suppose to be a joke...I guess a bad one...sorry

    Here's a stupid question

I'm not sure I felt that then....only when I "pig out"
  8. I'm not sure what "bloating" feels like to know if I need gasx strips or not. Is it "bloating" when I feel I have to burp all the time? It doesn't really hurt or anything. I just burp a lot.

    Just got my surgery date!

Yep! and I have to admiit I cheated the first 2 days. first day with eating 3 pieces of chocolate, second day with a handful of cashews, then I was able to follow it strictly. Good luck with your pre-op diet.
  10. The instructions I got from my doctor was no vitamins/minerals til I start the puree stage since they can cause nausea
  11. Hmmmm....I wonder if she could sit back and relax for a whole day without having to do anything. Like I know I can't just sit at a beach, I have to be doing something, so I only like to go to beaches with a boardwalk.
  12. Being able to cross my legs without hanging onto my pant legs to keep it from slipping off Being able to stop telling people I'm a human yo-yo....don't know how many times people have seen me gain and lose weight over the last 23 years at my job Being able to get up without having to roll over on and get on my knees first

Glad you got the approval! Persistence pays off! I don't have UHC, but Kaiser. I have the 6 month program and I did everything they asked and got approved with flying colors.

    Meritain Approved Me!

    ditto what kcinpa said
  18. Hey, it sounds like you're doing great! What is your friend's vice? For instance, I have a friend that loves to buy purses and she has a hard time NOT buying any. So explain to your friend that unfortunately food is your vice as________ is hers. Coming here is definitely the right place to come for support. I've gotten much advice here, whether I ask for it or I've read it from another post. Good luck with your journey.

    home now

Way to go! I hope I have it as easy as you...I guess I'll find out tomorrow.

    My head is spinning!

I was told that it should take 20-30 minutes to eat a meal. So practice eating a slower by talking in between bites or put the fork down and wait til you finish chew chew chewing (as kcinpa said) then pick up the fork for the next bite. Good luck with it. I'm still working on slowing down, but after tomorrow I think it's gonna be easier to slow down since there will be physical consequences...lol

Day Before Liquid Pre-Op Diet Begins

Congrats! I think you're the first one that I've read where the process time was cut shorter...lucky you. Your surgery date will be here before you know it. By the way, I like the image of the bird and cat

    Omg its time!

I found what helps me is stocking up on sugar free popsicles. It's somthing that I can chew on. I'll be honest, I did cheat some the first 2 days, but by day 3 I was able to stick to it. Luckily I only have one week of it. Just take it one day at a time and you'll do great!
  24. So I've been on the pre-op diet which I started at 206 and now the day before surgery, I weighed myself and I'm at 198.9!
