    Post op liquid

2 weeks liquid and 2 weeks puree before solid food. I did protein shakes and soup broth with added protein and i had SF jello, pudding, and popscicles. good luck with it.
  3. I'm in the puree stage and i use a baby spoon and only get about 1/4 of the spoonful for each bite. and i use a half cup container and it looks like a lot of food...lol
  4. I vote that you wait til you're fully healed....don't stress the body unnecessarily...it just went thru major surgery

    Boobs?

This thread has been interesting read. Ladies, the girls will eventually head south as you age. I'm 49 and the girls are heading south no matter what the brain tells them...they are just not listening. So the brain has made a decision that once the body has reached goal weight and maintain for at least 6 months, then the body is getting a mommy makeover. I'm tired of the D cup and would like to be a B cup. It would be nice not to have to wear these huge 'over the shoulder boulder holders'. Anyways, the hubby had the right answer when I told him. He said 'more than a mouth full is a waste'

    I'm a Zombie! Any suggestions?

I say it's time to consult your doctor. I hope you get your energy back soon. Have you tried some exercising? it could get the endorphins going to make you feel better.

How do you regain it all?

easy, feel down depressed, bored, stressed, or even happy then turn to poor food choices....it may take longer to gain it back, but if eating habits don't change and there's no exercise its easy to gain it back.....2 years ago, I lost 60 pounds just to gain it all back and then some in about 6 months time.... I went from size 6/8 to 2x.....which led me to getting the sleeve to help control my eating and I know I have to have protein first to stay healthy....I'm praying that I don't go back to junk food eating.

    Please be honest

I only had one dose of pain med when i woke up...then none. I only felt pain at the largest incision site, right under an inch in length, when i moved or cough. be sure to have a pillow to hold against your tummy when you cough or move about. getting in and out of bed was the worse for me but not enough for pain meds. once i stop moving the pain went away. oh get into bed on you knees, i find less pain doing it that way. I took the pain as a tool to tell me to be careful and try to move differently to cause no/limited pain.......my vet told me they dont give pain meds to dogs after surgery because they cant understand what happened and if they feel no pain, then they could over do it and do themselves harm....so i use that philosophy as long as i dont have constant pain

    Pre Op Liquid Diet. Help!

my pre-op liquid diet says "Replace all your meals with a high Protein liquid supplement (can have up to 6 a day)" Protein drinks that that have at least 15grams of protein include 64oz of fluids include clear liquids: Water, SF drinks, SF Jello, SF popsicles and broth soups. good luck with your liquid diet....it'll be worth it!

    weight loss halt :(

worse......sleeved the 21st and only lost 8 lbs since surgery. keep doing everything right and we'll eventually lose....the bright side, less saggy skin so it really helps at my age - 49

    Regrets?

nope....dont like the idea of malabsorption

    Hungry?

just measure out your food and make sure you eat protein first....i haven't felt the hunger yet. drink lots of water...it helps to keep me from thinking about food and you need the fluids anyway....

    Truth!

i had a tiny bite... ok maybe about a fifth of a girl's scout thin mint cookie... then gave the rest to hubby....glad and sad that i can still tolerate chocolate.
  19. take it easy on your first day back. i hope you have a nice one!

    I am APPROVED!

    fantastic!
  21. yeah i've had the slimes too... it reminds me when i drink too much or too fast. think positive, its a tool to help teeach you how to drink/eat for your new tiny tummy
  22. make sure you drink a lot...the first day home, i vomitted a lot of brown stuff...i figure its dry blood from surgery. and had diarhea the first day home and seem to clear all that gunk out of my stomach and felt fine since then.....so maybe try to keep sipping water to help clear out your system. i thought about how it took the barium swallow a few seconds to go thru your tiny tummy and i use that as a guideline for how much and often to sip. hope this helps and everything goes well for you.
