Stall stall stall no no no

it'll break.... try changing up your routine. add extra calories for a day...it could help fool your body into thinking the 'famine' is over and it can let the fat/water go.....good luck...I know stalls can be frustrating since mine just broke today.

    Stall broke

So for the last 2 weeks, I've been between 187-188. I've been having BM regularly, like rabbit poop, but yesterday was a decent one...of course I got on the scale right away and it still said 188. What a let down! Well this morning I weighed myself and the scale said 184.4! weighed myself twice to make sure it was real It's been tough, but I kept to the 60-80 grams of Protein and at least 8 cups of Water. It got me really motivated that I went out and took a walk before my morning Protein Drink. Unfortunately it started to rain so had hubby come pick me up since I couldn't get my soft cast on my left hand wet, but I did get in over 7,000 steps towards my 10,000 for the day So for everyone in/on a stall, it will break....just keep at it!
  5. you're doing great. big change in the face for the better
  6. Wow! You look great! Keep up the hard work....that'll be me one day
  7. I use unjury chicken broth Protein powder when I want chicken flavor and I use the unflavored to my other Soups. I make my own Soup or sometimes I buy can soup, strain it and add protein to it. good luck with your surgery!

    Measure jello?

    my understanding is yes.
  9. I'm still not sure what the full feeling is either. I just know that I haven't felt hungry, but just made sure I got in my protein and fluids. I'm on mushy foods and I do measure to make sure I don't get in more than one cup at a time. My doctor used a 38 bougie, so I think that helps with me not feeling the stricture much unless I take too big a swallow.
  10. congrats! hope you have a speedy recovery!

    What's for dinner?

I'm 3 weeks out and I'm making curry tofu with garbanzo Beans (chick peas). I'll just have the tofu and a few mashed up beans. The rest of the family gets to have rice with it. Oh, and butternut squash cooked with bacon...bacon fat all drained out. I should be able to have a little of the squash What are you having for dinner?

    Keeping surgery MY secret

Don't they usually ask about prior surgery? I had hand surgery earlier this week and the doctor asked about previous surgeries. If foot surgery comes first then you don't have to say anything. I decided to tell my family about my wls surgery. I thought they would all be critical and judgementle, but surprisingly they were not....not sure what they may say behind my back...lol

    Whats 3 days!?

I'm 3 weeks postop and did SF jello and pudding from the beginning....at week 2, I did have cheddar cheese. I chewed until the cheese was liquified. it tasted so good....I'm in mushy foods now.
  15. My doctor gave me a report with a summary of the procedure done. It's interesting read. He used a 38 bougie. It looks like 'no obvious retained fundus' which is good since I understand the fundus part of the stomach produces 70% of the ghrelin (hunger) hormone. He also did 'a single stitch was used to bring the epiploic arcade back up the side wall of the antrum in order to prevent twisting" but the best part of the report is "Final sponge and instrument counts were correct." Attached is also a report to pathology. They removed 21 x 4 x up to 2.5 cm of my stomach. I wonder if it's considered normal size for a 5'3" person.

    stomach size removed

I wanted a pic of my stomach also. the dr said he had it in his file and would see about getting me a copy...lol I wanted the actual stomach in a jar but he said it had to go to pathology.
  17. Hi, i was sleeved the same day. I haven't been counting calories, but protein. I'm having protein drinks, soups, and cottage cheese, low fat babybel cheese to get in my protein. I think I am getting around 800-1000 calories a day.

    Hot Yoga kicked my butt!

I tried hot yoga years ago. they had carpeted floor and i hated going to any class other than the first of the day because of the sweat wet carpet and smell. I want to try it again if i can find a studio that has a type of flooring that doesnt soak up smelly sweat
  19. think about how great you'll look afterwards and how much better you'll feel...good luck
  20. it's normal...i thought about writing letters to my family, but ended up not doing it. good luck with your surgery
