Ok.., I'm going to be the first to say, first appearances of a bald man does nothing for me, but if I find he has a great personality then it can be overlooked.

Breakfast on the go
ISleevedIt replied to SimplyFAB's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I probably will stay on protein shakes for breakfast since I'm not a big breakfast person. Maybe you can prepare breakfast the night before and just heat it up in the morning. -
How soon do i start my vitamins after surgery?
ISleevedIt replied to PressOnward's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I was told to wait til I was on purees since vitamins can make you nauseous without food. -

I just got back from Friendlys with my husband and it was my first meal out. I had the tuna from half my sandwich and 2 fries. I had no desire to eat more fries. -

Getting frustrated
ISleevedIt replied to Susie1226's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
sorry to hear that. hope you're feeling better. My weight had been in a stall for about 2 weeks and it broke today. I weighed myself this morning and the scale said I was down 3 lbs. Your stall will break also...just keep doing everything right and it'll happen. -
2 weeks post op and i dont feel different!
ISleevedIt replied to Sumsuz68's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
nothing. I'm able to eat anything also and am able to get all Protein and liquids in. However when I take too big of a drink or too big of a bite, I feel the restriction. Everyone heals at different rates and maybe you don't have as much swelling as some others. I think that's my case. As long as you follow the plan and eat healthy, you'll lose weight. I'm just thankful that its been smooth going for me...yes, I have experienced sliming and felt tightness in my chest, but it's a learning experience for me. The first time I ate chicken, I didn't feel any strictures, but I knew to quit after a small piece. I was told that I could have 2 - 4 oz at this time. -
so sorry to hear that. I just hate insurance companies dictating your health. You would think that if you've regained the weight then you need some help. I hope your doctor gets it overturned for you.

Not getting enough...of anything
ISleevedIt replied to trs111's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I put my drink on the kitchen counter, take a sip then walk around the house once and take another sip. if sip was too big then i walked around twice before sipping again. it took me an hour and a half to drink my protein shake but i did it. maybe you could try it. the walking help take my mind off of drinking. you gotta focus on getting the proteins in since they help with the healing process and it ensures you lose fat instead of muscle. then move right into drinking your fluids. it'll get easier. good luck with it. -
Wk14 and 80 lbs!
ISleevedIt replied to skinnyfate1004's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
wow! what a difference. you look great! -
Yes! I began Protein drinks the second day after surgery. you need the protein and nutrition to heal quicker. There are clear protein drinks out there if you are still on clear liquid....isopure, I believe. I buy unjury chicken broth flavor and unflavored to add to Soups and drinks. good luck. just reread that you are on full liquids starting day 3. do as your doctor says.....and do full liquids with protein. my full liquid started on day 3 also.

I had to do 6 months also. I have Kaiser insurance. Once they accepted me into the program, it was a matter of doing everything they tell you, then you will get approved. My bmi was right over 40. They go by the initial bmi and I had to lose some weight prior.....good luck with your process -
make sure you have them with food. I was told to wait til puree stage before starting vitamins because of the nausea....good luck.
