Oh, I sure do understand since I suffer from depression. My hubby and kids suffered also because of my depression. I've been on meds since 2006 I think. I'm also a binge eater too with the depression. If i were in your situation, I would take care of the depression first. I think it'll put you in a better frame of mind for wls since it's a big commitment on your part and you definitely want your 'A' game.....good luck

Better or worse than expected?
ISleevedIt replied to Sooner girl36's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
much much easier than I expected. Had one dose of pain med after surgery then didn't need anymore. I made sure I walked a lot before and right after surgery. I think it really helps with the pain and recovery factor. -
try to relax. you'll do fine...just keep positive thoughts in mind...just think how great you'll look and feel after the weight loss. Just take things slowly in the beginning. I was sleeved in Feb and am doing great from the day I got home. Sure I had some adjustments to make like sipping slowly and making sure I got all my fluids in. I did vomit on the second night, but after that I felt great. The next day, I was able to get all Proteins and fluids in. each day was better and better. good luck tomorrow....let me know how it goes. I hope you have smooth surgery and speedy recovery.

Feel like I must be doing something wrong
ISleevedIt replied to giggles232000's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
You're not doing anything wrong unless you're not following your dr/nut's instructions. on average, you're losing over 4 lbs a week! I think that's fantastic! -
wow! you're looking great! Hope the interview went well.

Laura, I'll keep you in my prayers. not sure what's wrong but I hope everything comes out ok in your testing. I always enjoy reading your posts.

hehehe...maybe because I have depression that I just had to talk to my psych doctor for 5 minutes for her to determine the meds are doing their job and I'm not suicidal . might have become suicidal if I had to answer hundreds of questions

The weight will come off. good luck to you. Oh, I'm on my 4th week and the hair is alredy coming out in handfuls and my hair is perfectly straight. I don't want to comb it so it looks like more hair without it falling out completely -

ISleevedIt commented on BigDaddyJoe's blog entry in My journey
newgrandmother, sometimes it helps to change up your routine. like more calories for a day or increase exercise for a day -

First stall & questions
ISleevedIt replied to bringiton's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
try to get all your fluids in and try increasing calories for a day....need to fool your body that there isn't a famine and it's okay to let the fat go. I was on about a two week stall then one day I was down 3 lbs. vsgkirk has good advice....it's hard to not weigh ourselves everyday. I still do it, but I keep in mind that I will have stalls, but I continue to eat right. -
So. what is the most carbs you should have in a serving? I will be on solids next week and want to make sure I don't eat too many carbs.

ISleevedIt replied to RichardVST's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
oh, I get that...either eat/drink slower...I'm still learning to slow down....not sure why you're feeling it if you have't eaten. I hope you can figure it out. -
Have you tried the ground turkey, taco seasoning, and refried beans? I just made it tonight and you can't tell its turkey.

ISleevedIt replied to Quiny's topic in Regular foods (stage 4)
I like it cold and plain. Or make it into something similar to tuna salad -
