    Any More Sixties?

I've been sampling different products to prep for my upcoming surgery. I just had the unjury chicken Soup for lunch today. I really enjoyed it. I was expecting it to taste chalky, but it was very flavorful and provided 20 gm protein in an 8oz serving. I liked that I could order just a few packets of things to try before committing to a large jar.
  4. My nutritionist recommended ricotta cheese as an alternative since I'm not a huge cottage cheese fan either.

    1St Milestone Hit...

Amazing! Stories like yours inspire me. I cannot wait to join you on the losers bench. Congratulations!!
  13. I can totally relate to what your fears are. Everything else has failed, why would this be different. I agree with Mokee, look at all the success stories. I think you need to give yourself some credit. This is not a cure all, its a tool. You have been committed since May, there is no reason to think that will change. I think the biggest mindset change has already been made, You decided to move forward with surgery. All the prep work, all the hoops and here you are two weeks away. Overwhelming.. yes. But keep telling yourself you will do it. You have benefit of being in touch with hundreds of people who are going through the exact same thing you are, and thousands more that have made it to goal and then some. Draw strength and inspiration from that. Set mini goals for yourself and bask in those successes along the way. Good Luck!!!

    Feelin Blue

But look what you did do... you didn't have food to turn to so you turned here. That is definitely a positive step. I'm sure there are many of us that have had to endure breakups while struggling with our weight. Lean on others when you need, stay strong. There is nothing wrong with talking to your doctor if you feel overwhelmed. Even call the doctor you went for your psych consult. That doctor would have the background potentially with weight issues and depression. Take care of yourself.
  19. What a great start!! Congrats! It is so encouraging hearing all the post op stories.
