    High Protein Diet...help!

My office is the same way. Order smart. If you want a burger, get the burger. Take it off the bun (or order it with no bun) and have it with salad. I'll order a turkey & Fresh Mozz sub, but ask them to put it in a tray (NO BUN) have it with just a little Oil & vinegar. They all order it that way now. Or order a grilled chicken salad, and get the dressing on the side. Get a grilled chicken on whole wheat wrap. There are a ton of things to get, don't set yourself up for failure, just take a few minutes to plan it out. Get a few menus and highlight some items that will fit in your plan. Good luck, you can do it!

    Need Help, Crew!

I'm still pre-op, so I can only imagine how you feel. I have had experience in loosing a chunk of weight only to sabotage myself in the end. I agree with Terri. You recognize what is happening. Go back to basics. Get rid of the junk, recommit and keep sharing! If you're feeling down, reach out. We have all been there. Don't beat yourself up, you can't change what you did yesterday, start fresh today and you will feel more in control. I would say Good luck, but I don't think you'll need it. You got this!

So happy for you! Hope all continues to go well!
  9. The insurance might take the 5 months you have already done and apply it to your requirement, if you can produce all your records. You have done all the work. Did they tell you that you needed to start all over? Might be worth a call to a supervisor. Good Luck!!

Where Did You Have Your Egd?

I had mine done at a hospital also. Charges almost $10,000. They costs were higher as it was deemed "same day surgery" and all those same fee apply. My insurance has a maximum they pay but I thought it was an outrageous amount too. I wound up paying my surgical deductible then, so at least now I have no more to pay.
  19. I'm still pre-op so have no first hand knowledge, but I have read tons of posts from sleevers who talk about a week three stall. The advice I keep seeing is stick to your plan. Sounds solid to me. Good luck!
  20. I am lucky that the people in my life have always been complimentary regardless of my weight. I have been overweight my entire life, so I have yo-yoed forever, sometimes I am sure looking better than at other times. I know I have said the exact same thing to people who have lost a weight and in my opinion really did look great (however they did it). I know the struggle I know how nice it is when someone comments... Now maybe coming from someone overweight it was taken to be just what it was, an excited compliment on a great accomplishment. I try to give people the benefit of the doubt, unless someone says "You looks so much BETTER now" I'll take it, happily. We will all get much more attention after losing, purely because it is such a difference in a relatively short period of time. Take the compliments at face value and enjoy every single one. You have earned it!!
