    Any Jersey Sleevers?

Hi Drea: I had my surgery at Valley on 12/11. The staff was wonderful. Private rooms on the surgical floor, and the nurses are very in tune to our specific needs. Good luck!!

    not eating enough

You could try adding some honey or sugar free jam (seedless and smooth) to your greek yogurt until you can have it with fruit.

    hot chocolate

Thanks, I forgot to mention the temperature issue. Under 140 is required ( it will also get very clumpy at higher temps). I have one of those infra-red thermometers and helps greatly for the hot cocoa and the Unjury soup.

    Heparin shots at home

I had shots right before my surgery and the next day in the hospital, and was not required to continue at home. My understanding is that they look at your history and see if you are predisposed to blood clots, or have had clotting issues before. I'm not sure if some require it of everyone. Good luck!!

I use my chocolate shake mix with warm milk, tastes just like a creamy hot cocoa and lots of protein.

    In need of some support.

I'm so sorry for your loss. You most likely hit the nail on the head by saying you haven't been taking care of yourself like you should. You have been through a lot, but have done so well so far. A 60lb. loss in 9 weeks is huge. Try to get yourself back on track and take care of you. You know what you have to do. It is great that you looked for support... you've got it! There is not a one of us here that can't relate to how you feel on some level. You can do this, remind yourself how far you have come and what your goals are. You CAN do this. Take care.

    Those sleeved around 12/10....

I was sleeved 12/11 and started pureed foods yesterday. I had a shake this morning, for lunch I pureed some chicken salad with just a tiny bit of cranberry sauce on top (YUMMY) For dinner I had about 2oz of Ricotta bake and half of a 1oz. pureed turkey meatball. To get in my Protein I mixed my shake mix with warm milk for a hot cocoa tonight. no problem getting my Water in for the last few days. Good luck everyone!!
  21. I had my surgery last Tuesday and came into the office this Monday. No problems. I do get up and walk around just to move a bit. But other than that, I was fine to come back.

    Last Week Sleever?

Hey, Glad to hear you're doing better. I was sleeved on Dec. 11 and have not had many issues other than some gas the first few days. I was stressed the first few days worrying I was getting all my Fluid in but after day 4 all was well. Getting fluids in not an issue and I progressed to pureed food yesterday. sugar free Jello has been a god send. I use it to take my crushed pills and find it goes down really smooth. Best of luck going forward!!
