I am feeling something and can't quite put my finger on it. As I sit here eating my veggie burger I all-of-a-sudden did not feel like eating (it is still on my plate), I just wanted to stop ... and I know I am suppose to get in at least 60 grams of Protein and I am barely half way there. What's going on? Morning Star Farms is a fave of mine not to mention it is NOT CHEAP. Any thoughts? Anyone else gone/going thru this?

Thank you. That is something to think about and work on. I get in the water...do a lot of walking (can't afford the price of a gym - yet), and as for the protein.... working on it.

I am having the same issue. I was eating and all-of-a-sudden I just did not want to. And I know I have to get my protein in. Right now, it is not an easy task. I do wait at least 30min before eating and try to wait 30min after but today I just did not want to eat.

I'll be 8 weeks on Sunday and my doctor cleared me to exercise (in moderation of course) for the first month or so. So take it ez and let yourself heal the for the first month or 2. You'll get there. I walked the first month or so and will be in the gym within the next 2-3 weeks.

Bummed At People's Reactions
CoolBreeze replied to AngelBaby's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
This is why I am so glad I found this site. I tried to talk, text, email family members who chose not to respond or give encourgement/support. Each time I did the communicating thing I get no communication back so I STOP! When I got Sleeved, I had 3 people in my corner and I felt great...no negativity, no judgemental crap, just support, encourgement and blessings. Do for you, no one else because you have to be the first one to look in the mirror and see you. Do you. I have a great support system here at VST and from those close enough to me to know whats what. Those who want to know should've been when first invited. I had a love affair with food that I ended on June 26, 2012 and I do not regret it. On that day, I told food -- YOU WILL NOT DEFEAT ME!!! Starting weight: 289 Surgery weight: 267 Goal weight: 161 Weight as of today (8.23.12) 228 I would say I am winning this battle, not food. GO FORWARD. -
I am 6 weeks post op today and have a craving for tomatoes & cucumbers. Any1 had the same craving? And will it give you heartburn? CoolBreeze

I have sleep apnea and when I had my VSG back in June they asked me to bring my cpap machine with to the hospital. Since it was already calibrated if it was needed (and it was not, thank God) they didn't have to figure it out. I had no worries because I had confidence in my dr. and his staff. God is with you, you will be fine. Since the surgery I have not had to wear the mask that much and I go for a sleep study to determine whether I need to keep it (wear it) or not... I going for 'or not'

I take bluebonnet liquid calcium (it looks like butter milk, just doesn't taste like it) with vit D, and a liquid multi-vit from Vitamin Shoppe. I can take the chewable multi but prefer the liquid. The calcium is mixed berry and the multi vit is orange. Hope this helps you out.

Question: Inches Vs Pounds
CoolBreeze replied to Willow216's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
I do believe we lose inches before pounds. I could not get a size 2x polo over my head just 3 month ago and now it not only goes over my head it loose (not baggy loose) and I thought it would take at least 4-6 months to even get it to fit let alone fit comfortably. So that may be a good thing. I fitting into clothes I thought wouldn't happen til the end of the year or so -
I am glad that u and your sis are doing fine. I don't believe its a sign but a way that God is saying once you have your surgery you must be careful, do what the doctors tell you. And remember that this is a Tool NOT the solution. It's the beginning of the rest of your life as a Sleever. You will be ok, God is with you.

Wow Just Sleeved 7 This Morning
CoolBreeze replied to Avillias's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Congrats on being SLEEVED. Prayers are heading towards you now. I am 8 weeks post-op on Sunday. I had ice chips for the first 12 hours after surgery so you're doing good. Keep up the good work. -
I May Turn Into A Sf Popsicle...
CoolBreeze replied to juls130's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
We always have room for one more...have seat. lol I know what you mean when it comes those sf popsicles. I think I ate 3 boxes worth when I was in the all liquid stage (both pre & post surgery). I have 2 boxes of them left in my freezer. I was sleeved on June 26 and from June 12 (2 weeks b4 surgery) I was introduced to sf pops and sf fruit pops, liquid phase was alright. lol Good luck to you and keep us posted. -

CoolBreeze replied to Patrick Curl's topic in Weight Loss Surgery Success Stories
Hello Patrick, YES! I too can see a difference. God is blessing you and each of us everyday. He doesn't give up...why should we? You doing great. Keep it up...we will all get to our goals - one pound at a time. God's blessings to you and each VST sleever -
I ate a 3oz chicken thigh that I would have chopped up and put on wheat toast with mayo & seasonings but decided not to. And for me, that's huge since I would've made a sandwich in a heartbeat. Has anyone else found themselves not doing something (pre-surgery) that came oh so natural to you that now (post-surgery) you just don't want to?

Fabulous!!! Simply FABULOUS!!! hot indeed. Keep up the fabulous work. Everybody give a standing ovation to Ms. tyvette04...clap clap clap clap clap

So true. My Doctor said I could eat wheat bread as long as I toast it, which was great news and yet I still past on it. Things are looking better. I'm proud of myself for that.

It is hard not to drink while eating. I have to catch myself because there are times when I may start to cough and reach for the water - that is getting up to go get the water. My NUT said if you have to drink...sip don't just drink it, sip it and only about a couple of sips then put it down and away from you.
-
That is fantastic!! ALL THE TIME, GOD IS SO GOOD. Congrats to you.

Calcium Citrate
CoolBreeze replied to going to make this work's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is a LIFETIME THING!! -
I was in my church yesterday and when 9am service was over we have a fellowship right outside the sanctuary - iced tes, coffee, cake, Cookies, ect, this day I saw a bag of pretzels amongst everything else. It caught my attention because it was made by MEDIFAST so I read the back and wow (I thought), I can eat these. 110cal, 2g fat, 13g carbs, AND 11g Protein (now that is what caught my eye). I actually took a picture and sent it to my NUT & DOC, both said looks good...sounds good - I was happy!! The only my NUT said was try not to eat them everyday and one right after the other - I won't. But I just have now find out where to get them. Hope this help you.
