Medicine And A Vertical Sleeve. (2 Questions)
David B Smith posted a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
First, has anyone had any experience with Seroquel XR after they have had their sleeve? Did it change the way it took effect for you? Second, are there any cold/flu OTC meds that we should avoid after having the sleeve surgery? -
My wife is in the puréed stage and needed just a few grams of protein to hot the goal for the day. She grabbed some peanut butter (apparently a very bad idea). Does anyone have tips on simple things that she could grab that last few grams of protein that are within the diet regs, that are basically no prep, just grab and eat?

Anyone Have Suggestions For A Liquid Diet?
David B Smith replied to LizTex2587's topic in Liquids (stage 1)
My wife dreaded the idea of liquid diet, but we prepared it ahead of time. We did Jello jigglers so she could eat it with her fingers, Atkins Protein shakes, and we made some simple Soups (broccoli and cheese, creamy potato) and strained the chunks out. It doesn't last too long, and when you hit puréed food, the list that you looked at and thought sounded gross or boring, you will be ecstatic for (my wife is over the moon about instant mashed potatoes). Good luck! -
So, my wife had her surgery and came out ready to go, but all she wants to eat is mashed potatoes, because the liquid diet was so blah she doesn't want anything from it, besides a protein shake. I need ideas to make her some food that tastes good but isn't a straight liquid for the next couple weeks. Thanks. couple

Wife Is Getting Sleeve, I Need Help
David B Smith posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
My wife and I have been getting her pre-approved by insurance for the past year. She is going to have her surgery in September. So we were thinking that we should start getting used to eating the types of foods that we have to eat once the liquid and soft diets are done, so it won't be such a drastic change. I need to find as many normal recipes as possible. and any tips on making the liquid and soft diets more enjoyable/acceptable would be awesome. Thanks all.
