I totally understand! Mine is next Monday and Im freaking out too. You will do fine. Remember that statistically, its safer than having your gallbladder out. They have done all types of tests on you to make sure your safe enough..You will do fine! Just remember, you worked so hard to get here, this is going to change your life.

A family member asked me, why not wait until Thanksgiving and Christmas.Your going to miss all that food?.To which I replied, "Well, I have eaten like it was Thanksgiving and Christmas on many days that were not. I'm not missing out on anything important..My family and friends will be there..Thats all that matters..I had forgot that for a long time."

I am excited but so nervous..I have never had surgery before..I am having my surgery at Mt Auburn in Cambridge..I was originally enrolled in their medical weight loss program, but then switched to surgical..I had met some of the requirements for surgey without even knowing it..Since my first surgical seminar, it's been 4 months..So It took me a little under 4 months from start to finish..All the appointments, support groups, and medical clearence..So far I've had nothing but an excellent experince with every single person I've met Mt Auburn. I highly recomend it..With that said, I am starting to freak my surgery is 10 days!!

Help!! I have been having such anxiety lately about having surgery in 2 weeks. I haven't been able to eat (good thing) or sleep bad thing) I feel like something is going to go wrong. I'm having such a hard time accepting that when I'm put to sleep I have I control. I'm starting to think really negative. I'm really scared. anybody else feel this way?

I literally understand everything you went through, and everything that is going through your mind right now. Like you I have tried every diet out there. I would lose weigh only to gain it back with bonus pounds. Im sure everybody on this site can relate. The way I look at is, If I had not tried every other option then I wouldn't be here. I think medifast is the newest trend. and I don't think it will be successful for long term weight loss. I know the sleeve is not a quick fix. But a tool that will help us if we're willing to put the work in after surgery. I'm going to educate myself. excel use, and take advantage of the support groups. I have debated over and over again if there are any other options other than surgery. In my case, I don't think there is. I'm tired of struggling all the time. Im so ready for a chance at a healthier life
