LOL I know exactly what you mean about opening and closing the fridge! It it becoming a challenge, I'm trying to find more choices of high protein food..I can't even look at a shake right now, and I have enough yogurt for an Alaskan winter! Oh well, this is what we signed up for, right? Have to just do it for now

Hello! I am 3 weeks post op and everything is going fairly good. However, the last 2 nights I woke up with a gas / indigestion feeling in my chest/esophagus area. Feels like when you take too big a sip or bite of food. Like you have to burp but can't? I have not strayed off the diet. Made sure I chew everything really well. The only change is I starting using the CPAP again. I wonder if the air from CPAP could be causing this. Anybody else experience anything similar? Thanks

The same thing happened to me. Your doing it right by not forcing yourself to have more. Add a little more protein and liquid each day and you will keep losing weight. Good luck -

3 weeks post-op. Everything is going good. The other day I did something to my stomach (not my staple line) either internal stitches or scar tissue maybe. Now every time I try to bend or get up from sitting it hurts in one specific spot on my left side. It's not excruciating, but it hurts. Anybody else experience something similar? Don't know if I should call my doc

Definitely tell your Dr. You don't want to risk anything. The day of my surgery I had a low fever and they went ahead with my surgery. Better to be safe

Hope your doing ok! Every day it gets easier . I promise

Sorry to hear that :-( Greek yogurt has been the easiest thing for me to handle. Chobani, green mountain, or trader joes brand. Their loaded with protein and taste pretty good. I know it's probably the last thing you wanna eat after the liquid stage. Hope your able to tolerate more soon :-) -
