do you live near your pool? or do you go after you get home. Half the battle is getting dressed for the workout. It's something funny about putting those clothes on that gives you the energy to go and do it. You have to figure out a way to 'trick' your mind that you are ready to work out. For me I don't sit down when I come home...I walk the dog...switch my clothes and head out.

Well everyone. Wednesday is my day! My 'new' life begins on August 1, 2012. VSG here I come! Any words of advice from you post sleevers? What vitamins are you taking? My understanding is multivitamin with iron, Calcium citrate, and B12.

Hey there - Glad you have become my friend. So can you catch me up on when you had your surgery and where? I just got my date, as you know fromy most, and now I just simply nervous and don't want to set myself up for failure.

Is This Right For Me? Or Are My Nerves Winning!

Blossom12 you have so hit the nail on the head for me! It's not that I don't want to be healthy...it's that I'm scared of the change...meaning am I being too drastic! But your quote "I thought I had the strength to do it myself after I was approved for surgery last year, but it was really just because I was afraid of the drastic change I was about to face and I still wasn't mentally or emotionally prepared" is mean exactly! I have the knowledge. I used to be an aerobics instructor and all! I was a plus size one though. But I was darn good! Now that I am getting ready to put myself through a more strict nutrition plan, I'm wondering if it will be too much. To be honest, I think it's more just me being afraid to not have the flexibile I have now if I want to have a piece of candy...or 1 or 2 fries, or whatever. I've seriously changed my eating since I've been on the new journey and now I just feel empowered and am worried that the non-flexibility that I will have for some time will be regretful. I have to say though that NO ONE in the videos I've watched or even reading the blogs on here has said they are sorry they have done it. I guess I just answered my own question. I am going to setup my time today! Please follow me on youtube thesleevedsinger -
Is This Right For Me? Or Are My Nerves Winning!
thesleevedsinger posted a blog entry in thesleevedsinger's Blog
PLEASE RESPOND! This is my first blog. My concern is now that I have been approved for surgery, I wondering if I really need it. Since I have been educating myself about nutrition by going to the nutrionist and learning how important protein is etc., I'm wondering if I should put my body through this shock. I have been losing weight and for the FIRST TIME in my life I feel empowered around food. I feel as if I know how to make a healthy choice even when unhealthy options are available. It's not a struggle. What should I do Sleevers? Am I considering passing up on a wonderful opportunity for myself. Is this a common feeling fore pre-opers soon to be post opers? Or is this simply my nerves...HELP!
