I totally last suppered, which I shouldn't have! But I had a liquid pre-op of 4 Days, then I'm on liquids for the next 2 weeks, then 2 weeks of soft, then regular food. They said I could have Mac & Cheese (If it's low fat cheese) on my mushies, and I have to tell you, I am so ready for that! Im such a picky eater, so until I get MEAT it's going to be hard for me. But I am definitely a chicken eater, so that's good! ~*Ash*~

See, you just thought I was sweet and innocent. ~*Ash*~

I won't lie, yesterday was really hard on me. (I think most of that was just not WANTING to be here tho ya know?) I went home last night, crashed, got a good night's sleep, and today I feel 100 times better. The only thing I've done is put a pillow between me and the desk, because I know if I'm not careful I'll hit my incisions on my desk... and as my mother put it "That'd be an ouch" Also I wanted to suggest that you put your ticker in your signature. If you're unsure of how to do that, at the top of the page click "Quick Links" then go to edit signature, voila! ~*Ash*~

Yes, you did it perfectly! Welcome to the Lucky #7's! We're a crazy bunch, but I promise you, we're all nice. Congrats on your surgery! I have been officially banded for one week now, and I am typing this from work, so that should be a good sign of things to come! Any questions you have, we'll try our best to answer for ya, and we'll definitely give you a TON of love and support on the way! ~*Ash*~

Thank you Sunny, I appreciate it very much. I've always liked to think that even tho I was a bigger girl, that I never let that hinder my ability to look good. I have a friend who is a little heavier, and she always wore athletic clothing, baggy stuff, etc. After we became friends, she came to me and asked for my help, and had me take her shopping, that was such a compliment to me. ~*Ash*~

Honey, I'm just now down to 306lbs, and I can tell you from experience, fat or not, there is ALOT of ways to get kinky. ~*Ash*~

Thanks for the compliments guys!! I appreciate it. I got so sick of hearing all the time "Do you know how pretty you'd be..." I'm sure you can all sympathize. As for the water system. I drink all bottled water. I usually intake 3-4 bottles a day. And I label them, (with a sharpie), and on the side of each bottle I write #1, #2, #3, #4. Each bottle's 20ozs. So if I finish bottle #3, I know I've taken in 60oz. I actually have a spreadsheet tho for everything. I check off my calcium, vitamins, protein, and fluids, so I always know where I'm at. ~*Ash*~

Lynette, since I took my post, deleted it, edited it, then reposted, it looks weird... cuz you've responded to my post before I even wrote it as the boards look now. :-P ~*Ash*~

Thank you dear! I was stressed/confused. Because I have heard so many times, you'll have to 'sip sip sip' all day to be able to get your Fluid intake. I'm like, whatever, It's only 2, and I've drank 80oz. of water (flavored with Crystal light) already. So I'm curious to see how my fill will effect me. I'm ready for soft foods... I have one week and a day. Congrats on the weight loss! I'm right behind you! Btw, I added a picture on my avatar, and signature, so you guys know what I look like. There's a bigger version of my avatar on my profile here... ~*Ash*~

I already asked this once, but I'm afraid it's going to get lost in the midst of all these pages, and no one will answer... Something has occurred to me, that I'm not sure is normal or not... I have heard everyone say that you have to 'sip' constantly, that you can't take regular drinks... I can drink just fine. Just the way I did before, with no problems... I figured this was just because I haven't had a fill yet... is that right? And you guys are talking about being full after drinking too much. I haven't felt full at all... but I haven't felt hungry either. Is this normal? Or should I be feeling more restriction with just the band alone? ~*Ash*~

Good to hear! I'm 6 days out myself, and my only complaint is gas pain in my shoulder. I'm so jealous that you're getting to eat (somewhat) normal food! I'm on liquids for another week and a half... ugh... I so want an egg, or SOMETHING. ~*Ash*~

Nichole, I'm just a day behind you, but think, if they're itching it means they're healing!!! Glad to hear that you're doing good. And I wasn't talking about the t-shirts you're looking at for the cruise (Which I would love to do, but I'm a broke college student), I'm just talking in general! It's been a pet peeve of mine for quite some time!! ~*Ash*~

I too am a BB addict!! And I, like everyone else, is SOOOO Sick of Jen! Especially when she made the speech about how maybe the nominees will think more about how they treat people now... I'm surprised Jen has anytime to think when she's so darn busy DRONING on about herself... And how self absorbed is that to take down your ONLY picture of your mom, because you don't like the way you look in it... I was wishing someone would say "But that looks JUST like you!" (because I hate it when I take what I believe is a horrible picture, and someone says "I thought it looked just like you" ugh) ~*Ash*~
-
I so hate to say this, but I have to mention it... I know we've all shopped in the plus size section of stores... Have you ever noticed how many T-Shirts there are that say "Hot", "Sexy", or some variant of that... Ok, I am a big girl (Going down!!!), and personally I think I'm VERY beautiful, but I know when I am at the store looking at 2 and 3x shirts, Hot & Sexy aren't really the adjectives that come to mind for most.... Am I the only one that's ever thought this? ~*Ash*~

You're alot slimmer than me tho. :-P Maybe that's it. I have pushed and prodded with no avail... I would just kinda like to know where the darn thing is. ~*Ash*~

Yes, I have tried to use a heating pad, it didn't help much. The only thing that has provided relief is just laying on my shoulder. Like laying on my side, with the pressure on my shoulder. THAT takes it all away. But it's kinda hard to do that, when I'm at work. :-P I also forgot to address to work question, everyone here knows what I had done. They've all been very supportive! My co-receptionist here said it made her tummy hurt to see me in pain. I thought that was just the sweetest! And the RN I work had to count my incisions. The only thing they asked about is my port, and where it's located. And I don't know if it's the swelling I have in my stomach, but my mom and I have poked all around my belly, and have yet to find that darn thing... ~*Ash*~

Thanks!! I'm glad to hear your infection is about gone! I am doing ok at work, but my shoulder is KILLING me.... Like so much to the point that I just want to break down and cry. (Which could be a combination of things, exhaustion, stress, etc.) I just wish I had one more day to rest... I called my Dr's office, and left a message for the nurse to call me, asking for something less strong, (They gave me demerol, and it just KNOCKS ME OUT). I think if my shoulder wasn't hurting, I'd be doing great. On the plus side, I keep belching, so that's a good sign! :clap2: ~*Ash*~

Thanks guys!!! I do have to mention that I got on the scales here at work today (I work in a medical clinic), and I've lost 13 lbs!!!! So that definitely makes it worthwhile! ~*Ash*~

Thanks! Same to you! I'm here now, and so far so good. Just tired!!! ~*Ash*~

Anyone on the boards right now? ~*Ash*~
-
Omg, I did that also! I thought I was the only one. I remember feeling so guilty, because I was supposed to be on just liquids. (The reality is that I've done incredibly well on my liquid diet, and haven't even really been all that hungry.) It's just more of a WANT for food, than an actual hunger. Each day is better than the one before, that's what I have to tell myself. And I'm thankful for your encouraging words. Luckily I work at a desk job, and they'll be easy on me for the first bit. But I too am nervous about work tomorrow. So I'd be interested in those tips, and advice also! ~*Ash*~

Wow, the boards move so fast. I can't keep up. (And I check in 2-3 times a day). Good luck to all those soon to be banders, and I'm right there with all those who have just recently been banded. My shoulders are still killing me, with no relief in site. I've taken gas-x, I've walked, nothing helps. The only time I feel better is when I lay on my side. (on my shoulder.) How long does this usually last?! Oh wow, I just got a case of the hiccups as I typed this, and wow, that hurts. Well I start back to work tomorrow, which I'm a bit nervous about. But kinda ready to get back into civilization. Well I will check back in later! Just want to say a big THANK YOU to all my other Lucky 7's! ~*Ash*~

Hey guys, just checking in. I've been reading every post, but haven't had much to post. I'm feeling ok, but my shoulders are KILLING me, my dad went and got me some Gas-X today, but so far it's not kicking in... I've been going for nightly walks, trying to work things out, anyone have any other suggestions? ~*Ash*~
